摘要: The present invention is intended to save warm-up time of a toner image fixing device for fixing a toner image by heating and reduce manufacturing cost of the device. Elastically-deformable heat-resistant belt is made in form of a cylinder of nickel which accommodates therein a heater lamp and a reflecting plate for concentrically transferring radiant heat from the heater lamp onto a contacting portion of the cylinder-like belt with a recording paper carrying a toner image. When the recording paper is transported along a guiding plate , the driving roller rotates the heat-resistant belt in contact with the recording paper. At this time, the rotating belt and the guide plate are pressed against each other, thereby the belt is elastically deformed in radial direction. The recording paper is transported being pressed by the belt and, thereby, the toner image is fixed onto the recording paper by heat.

摘要: A pressure control device for controlling the application of pressure provided by a pressure roller to a pressing object, which includes a support member for pivotally supporting the pressure roller, a locking member coupled with the support member, an eccentric cam switchable between a locked state and an unlocked state by the locking member, a clutch for rotating the eccentric cam by a driving means connected thereto, and a solenoid for pushing or pulling the joint portion of the support member and the locking member so as to allow both members to move pivotally. When the solenoid is turned on and the locking of the eccentric cam is released from the locking member, the clutch rotates the eccentric cam thereby moving the solenoid. The pulling force of the solenoid pivotally move the support member strongly enough to allow the pressure roller to press the pressing object. When the solenoid is turned off at this state, the pressure roller is moved downward away from the pressing object by weight.

摘要: An electrophotographic printing machine is provided with a photoreceptor drum including a cylindrical transparent support having a transparent electrically conductive layer and a photoconductive layer laminated on a surface thereof and a dielectric belt having wound around the photoreceptor drum. A toner image is formed on a surface of a dielectric belt through a process of exposing the photoconductive layer by applying voltage across the toner to be applied to the surface of the dielectric belt and the transparent electrically conductive layer. Then, the toner image is transported up to a position apart from the photoreceptor drum where a copying material is superposed onto the toner image so as to apply heat and pressure thereto, whereby transfer and fusing processes of the toner image are carried out simultaneously to the copying material. As a result, a turbulence in the toner image is reduced, thereby providing high quality images.

摘要: A paper feeder system inclusive of a paper feed table for placing paper thereon, a transport roller, a first shaft for supporting the transport roller thereon, feed rollers, a first arm pivotably supported by the first shaft and extending toward the feed table, a delivery roller mounted on the first arm for delivering the paper from the feed table to the transport roller. A second arm pivotably supported between the delivery roller and the transport roller, and a shutter is attached to the second arm for preventing delivery of the paper to the transport roller. A first cam and a first cam shift therefor are provided for pivotally moving the first arm to thereby shift the delivery roller to an operative position, and a second cam and a second cam shaft therefor for pivotally moving the second arm to thereby shift the shutter to an operative position when the first arm is not pivotally moved, the first cam shaft and the second cam shaft being combined together in the form of a single rotary shaft.

摘要: In one embodiment, when a hot roller is driven to rotate, a driving gear rotates so that a swing gear and a swing cam rotate. Then, a sliding contact edge on the right side of a swing lever that abuts against the circumferential face of the swing cam repeatedly moves up and down, and the swing lever repeatedly rotates clockwise and counterclockwise with a shaft of a pressure release cam as the center. At this time, since only the clockwise rotation of the swing lever is transmitted via a one-way clutch to the shaft of the pressure release cam, the clockwise rotation is intermittently transmitted to the shaft of the pressure release cam. As a result of this, the pressure release cam intermittently rotates clockwise, and the pressure release cam pushes away a roller of a displacement frame, so that the pressure roller separates from the hot roller.

摘要: An image recording apparatus includes a first unit, a second unit, and a fusing device for fusing and fixing a toner image on a sheet. The device has a heat roller; a pressure roller; and a contact member placed in contact with the heat roller. The first unit is movable, along a first direction, to be drawn out of the apparatus. With the first unit out of the apparatus, the second unit is movable, along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, to be drawn out of the first unit. The device is divided into a first and a second portions where the pressure and heat rollers and the member are respectively located. The first and second portions are supported on the first and second units, respectively. The second portion is detachable from the first portion when the second unit is drawn out from the first unit.
