Abstract: A method including configuring a first radio beam pair and at least a second radio beam pair to a communication connection, wherein the first radio beam pair includes a first transmission radio beam having a first transmission direction and the second radio beam pair including a second transmission radio beam having a second transmission direction different from the first transmission direction; triggering channel contention to transmit at least one message from the apparatus and performing radio channel sensing for both the first transmission radio beam and the second transmission radio beam during the channel contention; acquiring a transmission opportunity in response to detecting that a radio channel is available for at least one of the first transmission radio beam and the second transmission radio beam; and causing transmission of the at least one message during the transmission opportunity.

Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from efficient communications. For example, low latency long term evolution (LTE) systems may benefit from a short physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) arrangement. A method may include operating a user equipment to follow a shortened transmission time interval. The shortened transmission time interval can be an integer number, L, of symbols in length. The method can also include sending a demodulation reference signal in at least a first symbol of the L symbols of the shortened transmission time interval.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for a signaling arrangement for a wireless system are provided. One method includes transmitting a short control signaling (SCS) message to one or more user equipment (UE). The SCS message may comprise at least a reference signal part and an optional control signal part. The reference signal part may comprise reference signals that allow the UE to perform at least one of: cell search, synchronization, fine time/frequency tracking, radio resource management (RRM) measurements, radio link monitoring, or channel state information (CSI) reporting. In an embodiment, the control signal part may indicate at least one of: whether the cell is ON or OFF, whether each subframe in a current or upcoming set of subframes are ON or OFF, TDD uplink-downlink configuration for a current or upcoming radio frame, PLMN ID to identify to which operator's network the cell belongs to, and/or system information.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product where a UE receives a RACH configuration, comprising time/frequency resources for each RACH Preamble and a corresponding Msg1 Data Part. The UE selects the RACH preamble, transmits the selected RACH preamble, and ascertains whether the selected RACH preamble is associated with a 2-step RA procedure. The UE determines at least one resource for Msg1 Data Part based on the selected RACH preamble. The UE performs a LBT preceding the Msg1 Data Part at a predetermined point in time and transmits the Msg1 Data Part provided that the channel is unoccupied based on the LBT. Likewise, a gNB sending a RACH configuration to the UE, receiving a RACH preamble back, ascertaining that RACH preamble is associated with a 2-step RACH procedure, and determining at least one resource for Msg1 Data Part based on the received RACH preamble.

Further, in accordance with another example embodiment of the invention there is at least a method and apparatus to perform receiving from a network node, by a user equipment, one or more downlink slots, wherein the one or more downlink slots comprises at least one of an uplink grant, a downlink assignment, and wherein the one or more downlink slots provide an indication of a time to perform at least one of a frequency tuning, bandwidth part switching, and bandwidth switching by at least one user equipment; based on the one or more downlink slots, performing, by the user equipment, the at least one of frequency tuning, bandwidth part switching, or bandwidth switching, and transmitting, by the user equipment, at least one uplink channel or a signal via a radio frequency chain based on the at least one of frequency tuning, bandwidth part switching, or bandwidth switching.

Abstract: In a first subframe, data is sent by a network node in a DL shared channel and a timing indicator is sent in a PDCCH to UE, the timing indicator indicating an offset relative to the first subframe the UE should use in order to determine a second subframe to use to send, in a PUCCH, acknowledgement information for the data received in the DL shared channel of the first subframe. The acknowledgement information is received by the network node from the UE in the PUCCH of the second subframe. The UE receives the data and timing indicator and determines the second subframe using at least the timing indicator. The UE transmits the acknowledgement information in the PUCCH of the second subframe. Apparatus, computer programs and products, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for aperiodic channel state information (CSI) reporting for enhanced carrier aggregation are provided. One method includes transmitting, by a network node, a configuration of at least two aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) reporting modes per one or more configured downlink (DL) component carriers (CC) to at least one user equipment. The method may also include transmitting an aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) trigger to the at least one user equipment. The transmitting of the A-CSI trigger may cause the at least one user equipment to dynamically switch between the two configured aperiodic channel state information (A-CSI) reporting modes.
