Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses, and computer readable medium of enhancements on uplink transmission. The method comprises: transmitting, to a second device, a first group of transmission repetitions based on first uplink synchronization information: prior to transmitting a second group of transmission repetitions, determining second uplink synchronization information based on system broadcast information for deriving transmission compensation in at least one of time domain and frequency domain; and transmitting, to the second device and based on the second uplink synchronization information, the second group of transmission repetitions. The method helps guarantee the effective receipt of uplink repetitions with compensation jump in time or frequency domain or update due to changing of uplink synchronization information. In addition, the network knows how to combine or select repetitions for best performance when the UE automatically adjusts the UL compensation in time or frequency domain during the repetitions.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure propose a solution for availability of system broadcasted information such as GNSS information which can be used for deriving time and/or frequency domain compensation. According to embodiments of this present disclosure, a validity timer for system broadcasted information is introduced in both UE and network to guarantee the system broadcasted information availability status is synchronized in two nodes, and the system broadcasted information is valid to pre-compensate in time and/or frequency domain when the timer is running. In this way, the UE can be scheduled with correct timing and frequency estimation in UL transmission.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of signalling enabling Timing Advance (TA) exchange between User Equipment (UE) and Radio Access Network (RAN). The method comprises receiving, at a first device, a TA margin from a second device; transmitting, to the second device, information associated with a reference location of the first device at a first time point; determining a reference TA of the first device at least based on the reference location of the first device; determining an actual TA of the first device at least based on an actual location of the first device at a second time point; and determining, based on a comparison of a TA margin with a difference between the reference TA and the actual TA, whether to transmit an updated reference location of the first device to the second device. In this way, the control for uplink overhead from TA/location updates and probability of impacting downlink scheduling become flexible. Furthermore, the downlink delay can be optimised and meanwhile overhead in case of very few small packets transmitted can be minimized. As a result, the network can optimize its own performance and the battery savings of the users.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods for selecting a random access procedure type. An example method may include receiving configuration information including a threshold associated with a transmission quality factor via a non-terrestrial network downlink, obtaining a value of the transmission quality factor, and selecting a 2-step random access procedure or a 4-step random access procedure based on the threshold and the obtained value of the transmission quality factor. Related apparatuses and computer readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: A base station serving UE(s) receives validity time information for cell(s) formed by other base station(s). The validity time information indicates at least a time period when corresponding cells are available for use by the UE(s). The base station determines action(s) to perform for the UE(s) based on the validity time information. A UE receives, from a base station, validity time for cell(s) formed by other base station(s). The UE performs action(s) based on the validity time of the cell(s).

Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, a method comprises receiving, by a network node, a first level capability about measurement gap needed or not for a user equipment. The method further comprises transmitting, by the network node, a pre-configured measurement gap pattern, in response to the reported first level capability indicates that the user equipment needs a measurement gap. The method further comprises receiving, by the network node, status of the pre-configured measurement gap pattern is changed by the user equipment.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a solution for handling positioning measurement. In this solution, a first apparatus may determine a relationship between a completion time of a positioning measurement and an availability time of a serving cell of the first apparatus, or a first time length of a duration for performing the positioning measurement and a second time length of a validity duration of an uplink synchronization parameter in the serving cell. Then based on the determined relationship, the mobility activities may be processed properly.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a terminal device, a network device, methods, apparatuses, and a computer readable storage medium for HARQ state for RRC configuration for multi-TB scheduling. In the solution, a terminal device may receive information which schedules multiple TBs and indicating multiple HARQ processes, the terminal device may further determine a same HARQ state for all of the multiple HARQ processes based on a configured HARQ state of a specific HARQ process in the multiple HARQ processes. As such, a same HARQ state may be applied for all scheduled TBs. Therefore, a flexibility on scheduling is provided, in addition, the DRX behavior for multi-TB scheduling is simplified.

Abstract: A plurality of DRBs may be configured for UDC. The DRBs configured for UDC may only be activated for UDC operation upon UE request. The UE may cause selected DRBs to be activated for UDC operation using an uplink RRC message, a user plane control PDU, or a PDCP/SDAP header in a data PDU. A base station may transmit, to a UE, a UDC configuration configuring one or more DRBs to support UDC for the UE without initial UDC operation activation; receive, from the UE, an indication to activate at least one DRB with UDC configured for UDC operation; and, in response to the indication, at least one of: perform, locally, a PDCP entity re-establishment procedure associated with the at least one DRB, or inform the UE to perform a PDCP entity re-establishment procedure associated with the at least one DRB.
