Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from allocation of candidates for a channel. For example, some new radio communication systems may benefit from hashing for allocation of control channel candidates. A method can include applying a hashing function for associating a plurality of decoding candidates of a search space set with subsets of control channel elements of a control resource set, and using the decoding candidate for scheduling of a user equipment in a control channel, wherein the hashing function is non-uniform in a pseudo-random manner and with one candidate per subband. The method can also include scheduling the user equipment based on the applied hashing function.

Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from the appropriate communication of acknowledgements. For example, various communication systems, such as New Radio, may benefit from a scalable codebook size definition in a scenario with dynamically varying acknowledgement timing. A method can include receiving a timing offset value in a downlink grant (910). The method can also include determining a first downlink time slot within a feedback window based on the timing offset value (920).

Abstract: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method, comprising: determining to perform frequency domain spectral shaping with spectrum extension to prepare a wireless transmission comprising an inband and an excess band comprising a first excess band portion and a second excess band portion, determining an excess band size, performing remapping of frequency domain resource elements of the inband on the basis of the excess band size, to fill the first excess band portion, and adding, in accordance with the excess band size, a cyclic extension to the second excess band portion based on at least one frequency domain resource element in the inband after said remapping.

Abstract: This document discloses a solution for scheduling communication resources. According to an aspect, a method comprises: storing, in a memory, a mapping database defining translation specifications between a first resource space and a second resource space, wherein the first resource space is based on at least a first sub-carrier spacing and the second resource space is based on at least a second sub-carrier spacing different from the first sub-carrier spacing; receiving, from a second network node of the wireless network, a scheduling message defining communication resources in the first resource space; translating the communication resources of the first resource space into communication resources of the second resource space by using the mapping database; and communicating a message with the second network node in the communication resources of the second resource space.

Abstract: According to a first embodiment, a method may include receiving, by a user equipment, a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) configuration from a network entity. The method may further include detecting, by the user equipment, at least one PDCCH based on the first PDCCH configuration. The method may further include transmitting and/or receiving, by the user equipment, at least one signal based on the at least one detected PDCCH.

Abstract: A technique may include determining, by a base station in a wireless network, that the base station was unable to transmit a synchronization signal block for a beam via a beam-specific synchronization signal block position that is associated with the beam; transmitting, by the base station in response to the determining, a synchronization signal block for the beam via a non-beam-specific synchronization signal block position; and transmitting, by the base station, control information indicating the transmitting of the synchronization signal block via the non-beam-specific synchronization signal block position.
