    摘要： An imaging process which comprises (1) charging an imaging member in an imaging apparatus; (2) creating on the member a latent image comprising areas of high, intermediate, and low potential; (3) developing the low areas of potential with a first developer comprising carrier, and a first negatively charged toner comprised of resin, the cyan pigment Pigment Blue 15:3, Color Index number 74160:3, CAS Number 147-14-8, a mixture of charge enhancing additives, and surface additives; (4) developing the high areas of potential with a second developer comprising carrier and a second black toner comprised of resin, pigment, and a charge enhancing additive that enables a positively charged toner; (5) transferring the resulting developed image to a substrate; and (6) fixing the image thereto.

    摘要： A method for aligning a printhead to compensate for printhead roll when an image receiving member moves laterally during printing has been developed. The method includes generating at different times a plurality of marks in a process direction with different inkjets in a printhead and identifying relationships between marks in each plurality. Lateral motion is thereby detected and removed from the analysis identifying the magnitude of the roll corresponding to the locations of the marks in the pluralities of marks.

    摘要： An enhanced toner area coverage (ETAC) sensor may be calibrated to adjust for changes in LED intensity by determining a functional relationship between specular developed mass per unit area (DMA) values and diffuse readings obtained from the sensor. Specular and diffuse readings are obtained from an ETAC sensor that senses reflected light from toner patches generated with incrementally increasing densities on the photoreceptor belt. The specular readings in a particular range and their corresponding diffuse readings are selected for the calibration computations. Reflected ratios are computed from the specular readings and used to determine specular DMAs. The specular DMAs and selected diffuse readings define a set of points for which a functional relationship is determined.

Systems and methods may further include repeating the setting, charging, measuring and storing steps for the first charging device for at least one additional voltage level; and determining at least one parameter of the first charging device based on the stored measured charge values for the first charging device for each voltage level.

    摘要： A replaceable cartridge, adapted for use with a printing machine having a photoreceptor, is provided. The replaceable cartridge includes a container for storing a selected developer material different from a developer material previously in the printing machine and a programmable memory unit communicating with a control system. The programmable memory is programmed with a reference value reflecting a desired amount of developer material to be developed on the photoreceptor. In operation, the control system detects an actual amount of developer material developed on the photoreceptor and reads the reference value to determine if a difference exists between a value representative of the detected actual amount and the reference value. When a difference exists and the difference is greater than a selected magnitude, a setpoint of the printing machine is adjusted.
