Abstract: In some aspects of the disclosure, an apparatus for wireless communication includes a receiver and a transmitter. The transmitter is configured to transmit a first transmission during a first time slot and to transmit a second transmission during a second time slot that is after the first time slot. The first transmission includes first data and a first demodulation reference signal (DMRS) associated with the first data, and the second transmission includes second data and a second DMRS associated with the second data. One or more of the first transmission or the second transmission further includes an indication of whether a joint channel estimation operation is to be performed based on the first DMRS and the second DMRS.

Abstract: A plurality of scheduled entities, such as transmission reception points (TRPs), may each transmit at least one TRP-specific beam failure detection reference signal (BFD-RS) having a corresponding TRP identifier (ID) to a scheduled entity. The scheduled entity may be configured with at least one TRP-specific medium access control (MAC) parameter. The scheduled entity may receive the TRP-specific BFD-RSs and respective TRP IDs associated therewith. The scheduled entity may measure each BFD-RSs and count beam failure instances associated with each TRP ID. The scheduled entity may transmit a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) associated with the respective TRP ID in response to a predetermined quantity of respective TRP-specific BFD-RS measurements of at least one of the respective TRP-specific BFD-RSs being less than a predetermined value. A scheduling entity may receive the BFRQ, where the at least one TRP-specific MAC parameter was used to trigger the BFRQ.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling (e.g., from a network entity) indicating a CLI measurement resource and an associated transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state. The UE may generate and transmit a CLI report to the network entity using the CLI measurement resource and the beam associated with the indicated TCI state. In some cases, the control signaling may indicate to use the same TCI state as another dedicated downlink channel configured for the UE. In some cases, the control signaling may indicate a unified TCI state to apply for the CLI measurement. In some cases, a UE may be configured to communicate with multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs). The TCI state to apply to the CLI measurement may be based on the TRP scheduling the CLI measurement.

As such, the UE may participate in the beam management procedure with the base station, where the beam management procedure may include the transmission of reference signals (e.g., sounding reference signals (SRSs), the reception of reference signals (e.g., channel state information (CSI) reference signals (RSs)), or a combination thereof.

Abstract: A first wireless device transmits one or more transmissions for a second wireless device to a repeater for repetition to the second wireless device; adjusts a repeater operation based on a phase noise in transmission between the first wireless device and the repeater; and communicates with at least one of the repeater or the second wireless device based on the adjusted repeater operation. A repeater receives from a first wireless device, a request for the repeater to report a phase noise in transmissions between the first wireless device and the repeater for repetition with a second wireless device; and transmits a report of the phase noise to the first wireless device based on the request. A repeater receives, from a first wireless device, a transmission for repetition with a second wireless device; and transmits the repetition of the transmission to the second wireless device with a phase noise compensation.

The described techniques provide for training a beam for multiple component carriers (CCs) for concurrent communications in a wireless communications system associated with limited user equipment (UE) capabilities. The UE also receives, via a second receive beam, a second reference signal on the group of CCs over a second symbol. The UE selects a receive beam for a subsequent communication based on determining a value of a parameter for each of the first and the second receive beam.

In one example, a first user equipment (UE) identifies a trigger condition associated with a first communication link with a base station and establishes a second communication link with a second UE. The UE may transmit a relay request to the second UE based on the trigger condition, wherein the relay request instructs the second UE to relay communications for the first UE. The first UE communicates with the base station via the second communication link. In another example, a base station establishes communication links with a first and second UE. The base station receives a data forwarding request that instructs the base station to use the second UE to relay communications between it and the first UE. The base station communicates with the first UE via the second communication link based at least in part on the relay request.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Sidelink UEs may be configured with a synchronization reference signal that may be used by the UEs to synchronize time and frequency resources. A first and second UE may perform a beam sweeping procedure to identify transmit and receive beams to use for communications between the UEs. A synchronization reference signal procedure may be initiated and the first UE may receive a sidelink synchronization reference signal from the second UE using the established receive beam. The UEs may align time and frequency resources for communications between the UEs and the UEs may communicate via the sidelink channel based on the time synchronization, frequency synchronization, or both, determined using the sidelink synchronization signal. In some cases, a sidelink UE may receive multiple synchronization reference signals from multiple sidelink UEs simultaneously, where each synchronization reference signal may include a UE identifier.
