Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Aspects of the disclosure describe using sidelink resources to identify possible interference (e.g., including cross-link interference) in a first resources used for communications between a base station and a user equipment (UE). With such techniques, a base station may transmit a conditional grant to a UE that schedules resources for the UE to use to communicate with the base station (e.g., either uplink or downlink). The UE may monitor sidelink resources to identify an indication of interference for the resources scheduled by the conditional grant. Different UEs may exchange messages or may transmit energy over the sidelink network to indicate resources are being used to communicate between base stations and UEs. The UE may transmit an acknowledgement or a negative acknowledgement to the base station indicating whether the resources scheduled by the conditional grant are to be used by the UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may monitor a first control resource pool associated with sidelink control signaling during a first sensing window and monitor a portion of a second resource pool associated with sidelink data signaling during a second sensing window. The UE may perform joint resource selection on the first resource pool and the second resource pool based on the monitoring during the first and second sensing windows. The UE may transmit a sidelink control information message including resource indication fields to reserve the selected sidelink control channel resources and selected sidelink shared channel resources. The UE may transmit the sidelink data message on one or more of the reserved sidelink shared channel resources.

Certain aspects of the disclosure relate to a method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). In some examples, the method includes transmitting, to one or more other UEs, first control information comprising an indicator of a starting time and a duration of a first time interval for communication of a first data transmission over a sidelink, wherein the first time interval comprises one or more time periods of a first time window. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a first sidelink control information (SCI) message during a mini-slot of a control resource pool which is decoupled from a data resource pool for sidelink communications. The first SCI message may indicate a data message to be transmitted on a subchannel of the data resource pool to a second UE, where resources between the control resource pool and the data resource pool are mapped. The UE may receive a feedback message from the second UE for the first SCI message during a second mini-slot of the control resource pool. The feedback message may indicate whether a collision or strong interference was detected for the first SCI message. The UE may determine whether to transmit the data message or retransmit the first SCI message based on the feedback message.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for sidelink beamforming alignment over a set of resources based on a deterministic sequence in a wireless communication system. In aspects, an sidelink initiator user equipment (UE) may initiate a beamforming alignment procedure with a responder UE over a the sidelink. The initiator UE may define a set of subchannels specified by a deterministic sequence. The set of subchannels may be subchannels over which the initiator UE may perform reception beam sweeping. The deterministic sequence may be anchored to a direct frame number (DFN) of the sidelink frame without initial sensing, and may be determined via a sequence index, as a function of sidelink UE identification ID(s), or a combination thereof. In this manner, the number of bits for indicating the deterministic sequence to the responder UE may be reasonable, manageable, and/or moderate.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for uplink power control. A user equipment (UE) in communication with a base station may select a power control configuration for low latency or high reliability communications or semi-persistently scheduled communications. In some cases, a power control configuration may correspond to a reception point in a multi-reception-point environment. In some cases, the power control configuration may indicate a default transmit power for uplink communications. In some cases, a UE may perform, at the physical layer, measurements on a signal received from the base station and use this information to determine or select a transmit power for uplink communications. Selecting the low latency power control configuration may include selecting a set of transmit powers or a step size for transmit power adjustments specific to low latency or high reliability communications or semi-persistently scheduled communications.

Abstract: Channel occupancy time (COT) aware sensing and resource selection for new radio-unlicensed (NR-U) sidelink operations is disclosed. A first sidelink user equipment (UE) determines a sensing window or resource selection window (RSW) based on a projected listen-before-talk (LBT) completion time. The UE may sense for a subset of sideline resources within the RSW and COT-SI from a neighboring sidelink UE including identification of a COT initiated by the neighboring UE and one or more parameters associated with the COT. The UE may identify in-COT resources of located within the COT and out-of-COT resources located outside of the COT and then randomly select a set of transmission resources from the in-COT and out-of-COT resources. The UE may then transmit to a second UE using the set of transmission resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a base station may transmit, to a secondary user equipment (UE), a first grant to conditionally transmit one or more data messages over a first set of resources upon completion of a detection procedure. The detection procedure may include monitoring a second set of resources for over-the-air (OTA) signals transmitted by a primary UE pursuant to a second grant, where the first set of resources at least partially overlaps the second set of resources. The UE may monitor for the OTA signals from the primary UE, determine that one or more conditions for transmission of the one or more data messages have been satisfied, and transmit the one or more data messages over the first set of resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may configure allocate resources for sidelink communication between a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE as part of a sidelink communication mode 1 and, in some implementations, may configure the first UE (a sidelink receiver) with a set of periodic reception occasions, each reception occasion including multiple reception opportunities for receiving sidelink control information (SCI) from the second UE (a sidelink transmitter). In some examples, each reception opportunity may be associated with a different receive beam and, as such, the first UE may monitor for the SCI from the second UE over different reception opportunities and using different receive beams. Such configured beam-sweeping reception for SCI may increase sidelink reliability as a result of greater spatial diversity, which may increase the likelihood for successful communication between the first UE and the second UE.
