Abstract: Aspects of disclosure relate to a UE reporting to a gNB time delays and phases of pilot signals received via multiple transmission paths in order for the gNB to pre-equalize a future transmission to the UE. The UE determines a first time delay for receiving a first pilot signal from a gNB via a first path, determines a second time delay for receiving a second pilot signal from the gNB via a second path, and generates a report based on the first time delay and the second time delay. The UE then sends the report to the gNB and receives a multi-TRP signal from the gNB via the first path and the second path, wherein the multi-TRP signal is pre-equalized for transmission based on the report to at least have a same time delay as a shorter one of the first time delay or the second time delay.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to reducing the signaling overhead for configuring a common reference signal used in performing coarse power control of multiple spatial domain multiplexing (SDM) uplink streams are provided. A base station may be in communication with a UE via multiple SDM streams directed from the same panel of the respective device. The base station may configure a common pathloss reference signal for the SDM streams of the same panel for the UE. This may include sending a list of possible pathloss reference signal configurations to the UE, and then identifying which configuration to use for the pathloss reference signal for the group of SDM streams. Once known, the UE may measure the reference signal for open loop power control. The BS may occasionally reconfigure the common reference signal for the grouped SDM streams.

Abstract: Aspects relate to transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state configuration in multi-stream communication between a radio access network (RAN) entity and a user equipment (UE). The UE may obtain a respective beam quality metric for each transmit beam of a plurality of transmit beams associated with the RAN entity and transmit a beam report to the RAN entity including a respective beam quality metric for each of the transmit beams. The RAN entity may then group the plurality of transmit beams into a plurality of beam groups based on the beam report and transmit a plurality of TCI state groups, each corresponding to a respective one of the beam groups, to the UE.

Abstract: Aspects relate to assisted beam management between frequency bands that each utilize spatially directional beams. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive a plurality of first transmit beams on each of a plurality of first receive beams within a first frequency band to select at least one first beam pair link in the first frequency band. The UE may then receive a plurality of second transmit beams on each of a plurality of second receive beams within a second frequency band different than the first frequency band to select a second beam pair link in the second frequency band on which to communicate with a transmission and reception point. Each of the second transmit or receive beams has a respective spatial direction within a spatial direction of at least one of the first transmit or receive beams of the first beam pair links.

Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for communicating information in a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) message. A processor of a wireless device may configure a PUCCH message to include an uplink message in a short data field. The processor may send the PUCCH message including the short data field to convey the uplink message to a communication network. In some embodiments, the processor may receive data from a second wireless device in a downlink channel, and may generate an acknowledgement message responsive to the received data. The processor may configure the short data field to include the acknowledgement message, and may send the PUCCH message including the short data field that includes the acknowledgement message to acknowledge the received data.

Abstract: A synchronization signal block (SSB) transmitted by a neighbor base station may interfere with a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmitted by a serving base station. A user equipment (UE) that receives both the SSB and PDSCH may mitigate the interference to improve an error rate of decoding the PDSCH. The UE may receive a first SSB including a first broadcast channel (BCH) from a second base station other than a serving base station. The UE may decode the first SSB. The UE may determine, based on the first SSB and the first BCH, that the PDSCH scheduled by the serving base station will overlap with a second SSB from the second base station. The UE may estimate a channel of the second SSB based on the decoded first SSB. The UE may remove a reconstructed second SSB from the PDSCH. The UE may decode the PDSCH.

Abstract: A method for refining radio frequency communication link quality in a communication system may include obtaining measured beam pair quality data between one or more transmit beams and one or more receive beams during a measurement time interval. Beam pair quality data may be measured using an antenna array in which each antenna has a weight. A combination of antenna weights defines an antenna array configuration or beam. The method may further include, during a communication time interval following the measurement time interval, adjusting an antenna weight combination in response to the measured beam pair quality data and a previous antenna array configuration, to define a next antenna array configuration. A transmitter and receiver may communicate information using the next antenna array configuration during the communication time interval. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for ML based dynamic bit loading and rate control are described. An apparatus obtains NN model coefficient information associated with communication channel information, between a UE and network, and the UE capabilities. The apparatus generates, using the NN model and based on the coefficient information, a communication configuration including a constellation or a CB channel coding rate. The apparatus communicates, with the network and based on the CB of a TB, using the NN-generated channel coding rate or constellation. Another apparatus obtains NN model coefficient information, associated with communication channel information, between a UE and network, and the UE capabilities. The apparatus generates, using the NN model and based on the coefficient information, a communication configuration including a constellation or a CB channel coding rate. The apparatus communicates, with the UE and based on the CB of a TB, using the NN-generated channel coding rate or constellation.
