    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating positioning reference signals (PRSs) for narrowband communication are provided. A first wireless communication device determines a time-frequency PRS pattern based at least in part on a narrowband communication frequency band configuration and a PRS subframe configuration mode associated with a set of subframes. The first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a plurality of PRSs using the determined PRS time-frequency pattern in the set of subframes. The PRS subframe configuration mode can indicate a first configuration including a bitmap indicating a set of PRS subframes positioned within a group of contiguous subframes, a second configuration indicating a subset of the group of contiguous subframes that may carry the PRSs, or a combination thereof. The first configuration and/or the second configuration can be used to indicate the set of subframes.

Two or more different groups of downlink transmissions may each have an associated group-based acknowledgment feedback, and a base station may transmit downlink control information to a UE that indicates one or more parameters that are used to determine which downlink transmissions are to be reported in the group-based feedback. Based on the parameters in the downlink control information, the UE may determine the feedback to be reported, and a timing for when to transmit the feedback to the base station.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to uplink (UL) communications in a wireless network are provided. In one embodiment, a first wireless communication device receives a transmission grant indicating a transmission period. The first wireless communication device selects a starting location for transmitting a communication signal from among a plurality of starting locations within the transmission period. The first wireless communication device transmits the communication signal during the transmission period based on the selected starting location. In one embodiment, a first wireless communication device transmits, to a second wireless communication device, a transmission grant indicating a transmission period. The first wireless communication device monitors for a communication signal from the second wireless communication device in the transmission period. The first wireless communication device identifies, upon detection of the communication signal, a starting location of the communication signal from among a plurality of starting locations within the transmission period.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems may support a determination of user equipment (UE) capabilities, such as a category or a coverage level for broadcast or multicast content. In some cases, a radio interface may be configured to account for an indicated capability of a target UE. For example, a base station may receive an indication of a capability of a particular targeted UE. The capability of the targeted UE may be specified by a service provider to deliver multicast or broadcast content, and subsequently associated with a radio interface between the base station and the target UE. The radio interface may then be configured based on the indicated capability of the target UE, for example, by configuring a transport block size or bandwidth. The base station may then transmit broadcast or multicast content to the UE using the configured radio interface.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to channel reservations and channel monitoring in a channel shared by multiple network operating entities are provided. A first wireless communication device transmits a first configuration indicating a first set of channel monitoring occasions for a channel. Each channel monitoring occasion of the first set of channel monitoring occasions is aligned to a start of a transmission slot. The first wireless communication device transmits, based on a first listen-before-talk (LBT) in the channel, a first channel reservation signal to reserve a first transmission opportunity (TXOP) in the channel, the first channel reservation signal transmitted during a first channel monitoring occasion of the first set of channel monitoring occasions that is within the first TXOP. The first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a first communication signal in the channel during the first TXOP.
