Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for determining neural network functions (NNFs) and configuring and using corresponding machine learning (ML) models for performing one or more ML-based wireless communications management procedures. An example method performed by a user equipment includes transmitting, to a base station (BS), UE capability information indicating at least one radio capability of the UE and at least one machine learning (ML) capability of the UE and receiving, from the BS based on the UE capability information, ML configuration information indicating at least one neural network function (NNF) and at least one ML model corresponding to the at least one NNF.

A UE may receive a request from a network to report a UE capability for at least one of an AI procedure or an ML procedure. The UE may transmit to the network, based on the request to report the UE capability, an indication of one or more of an AI capability, an ML capability, a radio capability associated with the at least one of the AI procedure or the ML procedure, or a core network capability associated with the at least one of the AI procedure or the ML procedure.

Abstract: Aspects relate to measurement and event reporting from a distributed unit (DU) of a disaggregated base station to a central unit (CU) of the disaggregated base station. The CU can configure the DU with a measurement configuration associated with at least one value to be obtained by the DU and a reporting configuration for reporting the at least one value to the CU. The measurement reports can be sent by DU periodically or the measurement reports can be event-triggered based on the reporting configuration. In addition, the measurement reports can be UE-specific or DU/cell-specific. The measurement reports may include random access channel (RACH) reports, uplink measurement reports, radio link protocol (RLC) reports, medium access control (MAC) protocol reports, and other types of measurement or event-based reports.

The disclosure relates in some aspects to sending a message over packet boundaries (e.g., several frames or sub-frames). The disclosure relates in some aspects to segmenting a Broadcast Information Block and sending the resulting segments over broadcast information window boundaries. In some aspects, this information may be sent via overhead channels. To facilitate this segmentation, information about the segmentation may be included in the information sent from the transmitter to the receiver. For example, a first segment may indicate the number of segments and subsequent segments may indicate the segment number.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for facilitating a scanning process to obtain information about available WLANs operating within range. Scanning information already obtained by one or more wireless communications devices may be shared with another wireless communications device, thereby reducing the time spent by performing scans by other wireless communications device. A network entity may monitor a performance of a machine learning (ML) model or ML model-based functionality associated with a user equipment (UE). The UE may receive one or more control messages that indicate a life cycle management (LCM) operation for the ML model or ML model-based functionality. The one or more control messages may include an indication of whether the LCM operation is based on the performance of the MIL model or ML model-based functionality. In some examples, the indication may include or be an example of a performance report associated with the performance of the ML model or ML model-based functionality. The UE may perform the LCM operation for the ML model or ML model-based functionality. The UE or the network entity may transmit the indication to a server associated with the ML model or ML model-based functionality.

The AMF may register information associated with a device with a UDM. A network data analytics function (NWDAF) may perform RAN discovery via the NRF, the UDM, or both. The NWDAF may receive an analytics request from a device, and the NWDAF may query the NRF, the UDM, or both for information about one or more targets of the analytics request, and the NWDAF may receive such information from the NRF, the UDM, or both. The NWDAF may transmit a data collection request to the RAN and the NWDAF may receive data back from the RAN.
