摘要： Copper-chromium contacts and copper-ferrous material shields are used in vacuum circuit interrupters. The copper chromium contacts include a specific copper-iron non-abutting section, and an abutting layer preferably of copper-chromium with a layer thickness that constitutes about 50% of the total thickness of the contact which constitutes the abutting section of the contact structure. The shield for the contacts, are preferably formed of copper-ferrous material and "X" in which 1%-50% is ferrous material, and "X"=chromium 0% to 30% and ferrous material plus "X" is less than 60% of the total shield. The contacts and shields are formed by a powder metallurgical procedure.

摘要： The present invention is an apparatus that can be operated by one person to move an article such as a pool table, vending machine, and the like, from place to place over a floor surface. The apparatus is made of a planar base and planar platform with a structure for slidably moving the apparatus across the floor. The apparatus includes a mechanism for pivotally connecting the base and platform attached at opposing sides of the apparatus. The pivotal connecting mechanism is operable to raise and lower the platform relative the base to selectively move the apparatus between a retracted position and an elevated position. The invention further provides a method of moving an article using the apparatus. In use, an operator positions the apparatus in the retracted position underneath the article and pushes downward on the handle of the movement actuating structure to elevate the platform which then contacts the article and raises it off the floor. The article is then moved to a new location, and the platform lowered to place the article onto the floor.

摘要： A pool table ball controller is programmable to vary time, cost, and other parameters relating to money-operated pool tables. A piano-hinge-type guard retains the balls and is operated by an electric motor driving a linkage to raise and lower the guard. Since the electric motor can be stopped in the lowered position, timed pool play can be selected so that the balls will continue to return to the user rather than being retained. The controller can be used to select between timed and rack play for a user of the pool table or may be moved into a programming mode wherein operators of the table can set time parameters relating to length of time for timed play and costs for both timed and rack play. In addition, diagnostic and other messages are displayed on an LCD screen. The controller also allows for programming in periods of time wherein cost and time are varied and when limits may be placed on time play and also periods when either timed or rack play are prohibited.

摘要： An electrical contact member and method of fabrication which facilitates braze connection of the electrical contact member to the conductive support stem of a vacuum interrupter structure. A high density slug of the contact material is performed. The high density slug is disposed in a powder mass of the contact material which is sintered to form the contact member. A high conductivity component is then infiltrated in the electrical contact member to produce the desired conductivity for the contact member, with the high density portion being easily brazed to a conductive support stem.

摘要： An improved synchronizer assembly for use with jaw tooth clutch means in speed change gearing of the type wherein an axially movable clutch sleeve is interposed between two gears rotatably journalled on the same shaft for the purpose of selectively connecting the gears with the shaft, with the assembly including two friction cone synchronizer rings which are spaced apart by blocker pins, said assembly further including longitudinally split pin assemblies that cooperate with the clutch sleeve and effect snap judgment of the clutch sleeve teeth with the gear clutch teeth. The improved split pin assemblies include central annular grooves having opposed dual inner and outer ramps, the steep inner ramps permitting positive force transfer while the shallower outer ramps enhance the return of the clutch sleeve to its center position. The synchronizer ring recesses that receive the split pin ends are loop-shaped to permit greater angular movement and reduce spring set while each blocker pin includes a pair of oppositely directed and symmetrical transversely split short pins that are case hardened and have portions thereof cast into their associated synchronizer rings, the latter preferably being of diecast aluminum.
