Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for setting up a communication link in a wireless communication system are provided. The terminal exchanges at least one information of group formation information required to negotiate a role between the terminal and a counterpart terminal, Internet Protocol (IP) allocation information required for IP allocation and Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) information required for exchange of ARPs, with the counterpart terminal. The terminal sets up a main communication link between the terminal and the counterpart terminal based on the exchanged at least one information.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing medical data based on a handover of a medical sensor. The apparatus includes a medical data client that requests and receives the medical data from the medical sensor; a security module that manages access to the medical data; a data management unit that stores the received medical data; and an event handler that receives a predetermined condition notification from the medical sensor and sends a command to release access to the medical data, based on the predetermined condition notification.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a transparent tunnel mode operation in a Wireless Dockee (WD) in a communication system supporting a wireless docking protocol is provided. The method includes performing a group join process and a provisioning process for security keys with a Wireless Docking Center (WDC); accessing services of a Wireless Docking Environment (WDN); selecting an operating mode between the WD and the WDC as a transparent tunnel mode; performing a process of getting information related to a peripheral with the WDC; requesting the WDC to enable a monitor mode and a promiscuous mode; and transmitting/receiving a data packet using the information related to the peripheral with the peripheral if a Miracast connection and a docking session are established between the WD and the peripheral.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for managing a Wireless Docking Network (WDN). A Wireless Docking Center (WDC) receives a creation request message for creating the WDN from a Wireless Dockee (WD). The WDC identifies one or more peripheral devices based on the creation request message. The WDC creates the WDN based on the one or more peripheral devices. A response message including an ID of the WDN is transmitted from the WDC to the WD.
Abstract:
A method of setting by a docking center a direct connection between a dockee and a peripheral device in a wireless docking network is provided. The method includes grouping peripheral devices depending on each service in association with the peripheral devices and performing a setting of authorization for a corresponding group; and providing a docking service to the dockee which joins in the group while supporting a direct connection with at least one of the peripheral devices.
Abstract:
A method for performing a wireless docking operation in a Wireless Dockee (WD) in a communication system is provided. The method including transmitting, to a Wireless Docking Center (WDC), a get peripheral information action message requesting peripheral information for at least one peripheral of the WD; and receiving, from the WDC, a get peripheral information action response message including the peripheral information for the at least one peripheral of the WD.
Abstract:
A vehicle control apparatus and method using private medical information, and a mobile terminal are provided. An optimized driving environment is provided by searching controllable vehicle control nodes in a vehicle, upon reception of a driver's private medical information; determining if there is vehicle control information for controlling the searched vehicle control node; and controlling the vehicle control nodes using vehicle control information that corresponds to the received driver's private medical information if there is the vehicle control information for controlling the searched control nodes.
Abstract:
A broadcasting system for providing access information of a broadcast service, wherein a transmission apparatus generates the access information for at least one of a broadcast network and an interaction network, from which the broadcast service is transmitted, and transmits the access information to a terminal via a specific communication network. A reception apparatus receives the access information of the broadcast service via the communication network, analyzes the received access information to determine a network from which the broadcast service is provided, among the broadcast network and the interaction network, and sets an access address for reception of the broadcast service.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing service persistence support and corresponding mapping with the P2P group persistence behavior between a WSB host and a WSB client is described. The method includes receiving a request for a persistent P2P USB connection from the WSB host. The method includes creating a group with the WSB client. Further, the method includes configuring a service identifier associated with the persistent P2P USB connection. Furthermore, the method includes mapping the created persistent P2P group with the service identifier. The method includes storing the service identifier mapped with the created persistent P2P group and the persistent P2P USB connection. The method allows the WSB client to provide the persistent USB service to the WSB host.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for quickly transmitting an identical file to all of the student terminals in a class are provided. A method for supporting multicasting in a host in a communication system that supports a wireless universal serial bus (USB) includes setting a connection with each device; determining whether a multicasting service is necessary; when the multicasting service is necessary, mapping a multicast end point (EP) to a unicast EP; and, when data is received, transmitting the data to the multicast EP.
