    Abstract: A foldable display device includes a flexible display module having an electroluminescent unit, a flexible functional module on the flexible display, the flexible functional module having at least one function selected from the group of polarization, a color filtering, color conversion, a touch sensing, and biometric information recognition, and a flexible window module on the flexible functional module. A side surface of the flexible display module, a side surface of the flexible functional module, and a side surface of the flexible window module may be located on a first plane at a first side portion. An inner angle formed by an upper surface of the flexible window module emitting light and the first plane may be an acute angle at the first side portion.

    Abstract: In non-limiting example embodiments, an electroluminescent device may include a lower structure including an emission area, and an encapsulation structure located on the lower structure. The lower structure may include a window. The window may be a light transmitting region or a notch. The light transmitting region may be spaced apart from the emission area and completely or partially surrounded by the emission area in a plan view. The notch may be formed at one side of the lower structure and recessed inward in a plan view such that one side of the emission area substantially conforms to the notch.

    Abstract: An electroluminescent device includes a lower structure including an emission area and a peripheral area, a flexible encapsulating multilayer, and a touch panel including a touch electrode. The emission area includes an electroluminescent unit including a lower electrode disposed directly on an insulating film, an intermediate film, and an upper electrode disposed on the intermediate film. The peripheral area includes an inorganic surface portion substantially surrounding the emission area, various terminals, and wires. A lower surface of the flexible encapsulating multilayer and an upper surface of the inorganic surface portion each include only one or more inorganic materials in direct contact with each other.
