    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for configuration and determination of default beams in a wireless communication system. A method for operating a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) including a first downlink control information (DCI) format indicating one or more first unified transmission configuration indication (TCI) states, receiving a second PDCCH including a second DCI format indicating one or more second unified TCI states, and receiving information on a beam application time. The method further includes determining a quasi-co-location (QCL) assumption for reception of a physical layer shared channel (PDSCH) based on one of the one or more first and second unified TCI states and the beam application time and receiving the PDSCH according to the QCL assumption. Receptions of the first and second PDCCHs are in control resource sets (CORESETs) configured with same or different values of a coresetPoollndex.

    Abstract: A user equipment, a method, and computer-readable media. The UE, which includes a transceiver with a plurality of antenna panels, is configured to determine a link quality of a serving antenna panel. If the link quality of the serving panel is below a quality threshold, resources are allocated from the serving antenna panel to another antenna panel during a sweeping period to identify one or more beams of a target antenna panel for resuming communications. Measurements for a set of beams of the other antenna panel are obtained, during the sweeping period, with the allocated resources. The other antenna panel can be determined to be the target antenna panel based on the obtained measurements. The UE can switch from the serving antenna panel to the target antenna panel, select the one or more beams based on the obtained measurements, and resume the communications on the selected one or more beams.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for interference cancellation which includes: calculating a mean value and a variance value of a received signal to obtain statistics information of the received signal; calculating an estimating log-likelihood ratio using the statistics information of the received signal; calculating a decoding log-likelihood ratios of the received signal using the estimating log-likelihood ratio of the received signal, and performing calculations to update the statistics information of the received signal; repeating the above steps for a pre-determined number of times, performing hard decisions on the decoding log-likelihood ratios of the received signal, and outputting data bits obtained from the hard decision. The present disclosure also provides an apparatus, an auxiliary method, a base station and a terminal device for interference cancellation. The mechanism of the present disclosure can reduce the impact of inherent interference in the FBMC/OQAM system on system performances, and increase spectral efficiency and design flexibility of the FBMC/OQAM system.
