摘要: A wireless communication device suppresses increase in computation scale when applying maximum likelihood detection to a multi-level modulation scheme. Units calculate a likelihood, bit log-likelihood ratio, and mutual information content for the separation result of a received signal on the basis of the signal point of a reference selected from among a plurality of signal points that a transmitted signal can assume. A transmission candidate point selection unit selects signal points in a number that corresponds to the mutual information content as transmission candidate points from among the plurality of signal points in ascending order of distance to 0 and distance to 1 for each modulation bit that constitutes the signal point of the reference. A reception candidate point that is a candidate for the received signal is calculated. An external LLR calculation unit calculates the bit log-likelihood ratio by an MLD method.

摘要: Sequence detectors and detection methods are provided for detecting symbol values corresponding to a sequence of input samples obtained from an ISI channel. The sequence detector comprises a branch metric unit (BMU) and a path metric unit (PMU). The BMU, which comprises an initial set of pipeline stages, is adapted to calculate, for each input sample, branch metrics for respective possible transitions between states of a trellis. To calculate these branch metrics, the BMU selects hypothesized input values, each dependent on a possible symbol value for the input sample and L>0 previous symbol values corresponding to possible transitions between states of the trellis. The BMU then calculates differences between the input sample and each hypothesized input value. The BMU compares these differences and selects, as the branch metric for each possible transition, an optimum difference in dependence on a predetermined state in a survivor path through the trellis.

The device comprises a first detector adapted to perform a first symbol detection on the MIMO signal using a first detection method, a detection error determination unit adapted to determine a first detection error of the first symbol detection, a detection error judging unit adapted to determine if the first detection error is above or below a detection threshold, and a second detector, adapted to perform a second symbol detection on the MIMO signal using a second detection method, if the detection error judging unit has determined that the first detection error is above the detection threshold. The communication device is adapted to use results of the symbol detection as final symbol detection results, if the detection error judging unit has determined that the first detection error is below the detection threshold.

摘要: Methods and systems for providing a virtual HDBaseT® link. In one embodiment, a first switch transmits packets over an Ethernet network that includes one or more hops. The payload of each of the packets includes an HDBaseT® T-packet belonging to an HDBaseT® session. A first processor sets, for each packet from among a plurality of the packets, a timestamp value in the packet to correspond to the time at which the packet is transmitted by the first switch. A second switch receives the packets over the Ethernet network. A second processor calculates a clock correction value based on the timestamps in the plurality of packets, and utilizes the clock correction value to perform at least one of the following: (i) control transmission, by the second switch, of data in T-packets in the payloads of the packets, and (ii) recover a source clock of native media delivered over the Ethernet network.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are described related to interference averaging to generate feedback information and interference averaging to demodulate receives signals. In embodiments, an evolved Node B (eNB) may transmit interference averaging information to a user equipment (UE) including a time domain averaging indicator indicating a time domain averaging window to be used by the UE for averaging interference measurements in a time domain or a frequency domain averaging indicator to indicate a frequency domain averaging window to be used by the UE for averaging interference measurements in a frequency domain. Additionally, or alternatively, the eNB may transmit an interference resource group (IRG) indicator to the UE to indicate an IRG over which the UE is to perform interference averaging to facilitate demodulation of signals received by the UE from the eNB.

The controller is to obtain, in response to a write request, data to write to the memory. The controller is further to encode the data with a half product code to define a matrix that includes at least one matrix element based on a soft decision error correction encoder algorithm and at least one other matrix element based on a hard decision error correction encoder algorithm. Additionally, the controller is to write the half product code to the memory.

摘要: Disclosed is a phase noise mitigation method using a MIMO system in which each antenna has an independent oscillator. The phase noise mitigation method includes: receiving a transmission signal transmitted from a transmitting antenna, through a receiving antenna and an oscillator; estimating multiple parameters for a phase noise of a transmission terminal and a phase noise of a receiving terminal on the basis of a result of mathematical modeling of signals transmitted and received through the MIMO system in which each antenna has an independent oscillator; and mitigating phase noises of the transmission terminal and the receiving terminal which are estimated from the received signal.
