Abstract:
A method of measuring software performance includes inserting a performance measurement code into a source code, stalling a target system, on which the code is executed by a processor, and a performance counter based on the performance measurement code, transmitting performance data corresponding to a stalled time point when the target system and the performance counter are stalled to a host system configured to store the performance data corresponding to the stalled time point, and resuming execution of the source code by the target system and of the performance counter while the performance data is transmitted and stored.
Abstract:
A method of controlling a cache memory includes receiving location information of one piece of data included in a data block and size information of the data block; mapping the data block onto cache memory by using the location information and the size information; and selecting at least one unit cache out of unit caches included in the cache memory based on the mapping result.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of processing image signals stored in a memory using a direct memory access (DMA) in a system including a digital signal processor (DSP). The method includes receiving, by the DMA which is located within a hardware block, data from a memory which is located outside the hardware block, transmitting the received data to a programmable filter, which is located inside the hardware block, through a transmission path inside the hardware block, and filtering, by the programmable filter which stores filter information, the received data using the filter information.
Abstract:
A system, medium, and method compressing and/or restoring images. Such a data compression method may include selecting a mode from among a plurality of modes for compressing current data, according to predetermined criteria, and calculating a difference between the current data and reference data, according to the selected mode, and compressing the current data, or truncating a part of the current data and compressing the current data. Accordingly, it is possible to significantly lower the complexity of an image encoder/decoder system and exactly meet a picture-based CBR required by LCD DCC devices/systems.
