Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for receiving, from a user equipment (UE) configured to process a first priority channel using a first monitoring span based on the first priority channel during one or more time periods, at least one parameter indicating a minimum amount of time required by the UE to process the first priority channel using a second monitoring span based on the first priority channel and a second priority channel. The one or more time periods are based on minimum processing capabilities of the UE. Based on the at least one parameter, the UE is caused to be reconfigured with at least one time offset to increase at least one time period of the one or more time periods for processing the first priority channel.

Abstract: A device may include a transceiver configured to access a communication network including a primary cell and a secondary cell, and a device controller configured to receive, on the secondary cell, scheduling information for the primary cell, and monitor a common search space for the primary cell. The device controller may be configured to selectively monitor the common search space for broadcast information. The device controller may be configured to selectively monitor the common search space based on a type of the common search space on the primary cell. A method may include scheduling, by a first scheduling mechanism, a primary cell, wherein the first scheduling mechanism comprises scheduling the primary cell by a secondary cell, scheduling, by a second scheduling mechanism, the primary cell, and deactivating the secondary cell based on switching from the first scheduling mechanism to the second scheduling mechanism. The second scheduling mechanism may include self-scheduling.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). A user equipment (UE) reports capability information indicating one or more tuples. Each tuple indicates a combination of serving cells configured for per-slot and per-span monitoring that the UE is capable of supporting. An indication is received in response to the capability information. A pair of values is determined based on the indication. A first value is a maximum number of serving cells configured for per-slot monitoring, and a second value is a maximum number of serving cells configured for per-span monitoring. A monitored candidate limit per slot is determined based on the first value. A monitored candidate limit per span is determined based on the second value.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for monitoring a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). A first time gap is set from an end of the PDCCH to a beginning of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). A second time gap is set from an end of the PDSCH to a beginning of a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). A high priority channel and a low priority channel are configured in a PDCCH monitoring span. At least one parameter indicating a minimum amount of additional time required by a user equipment (UE) for processing the low priority channel, is received from the UE. Based on the at least one parameter, the UE is configured with at least one offset used to increase at least one of the first time gap and the second time gap.

Abstract: A method for releasing a semi-persistently scheduled (SPS) physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) includes: receiving, by a PDSCH manager of a user equipment, a SPS release physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a scheduling cell, the SPS release PDCCH identifying N SPS PDSCH configuration indices to be released; identifying a slot of a scheduled cell, where the slot of the scheduled cell overlaps with the end of an ending symbol of the SPS release PDCCH; identifying M SPS PDSCH configuration indices including all configuration indices from among the N SPS PDSCH configuration indices that are scheduled in the slot; and releasing L SPS PDSCH configuration indices among the M SPS PDSCH configuration indices based on determining that the ending symbol of the SPS release PDCCH is before a corresponding ending symbol associated with each of the L SPS PDSCH configuration indices of the slot.

Abstract: A method for cross carrier scheduling can include: determining that a candidate DCI for a UE schedules a DG PDSCH that at least partially overlaps an SPS PDSCH for the UE, wherein the DCI is configured to be transmitted on a first CC having a first SCS, and the DG PDSCH is configured for transmission on a second CC having a second SCS different from the first SCS; determining a timing gap based on the smallest of the first SCS and the second SCS; determining that an available time between the scheduled SPS PDSCH and the DCI is equal to or greater than the timing gap; cancelling the SPS PDSCH responsive to determining that the available time between the scheduled SPS PDSCH and the DCI is equal to or greater than the timing gap; and transmitting the DCI to the UE.
