    Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a first shader configured to perform a light shading operation associated with at least one light source on a three-dimensional (3D) model at a first resolution to obtain a light shading result of the first resolution; a second shader configured to perform a surface shading operation on the 3D model at a second resolution different from the first resolution to obtain a surface shading result of the second resolution; and a processor configured to generate a rendering result by combining the light shading result of the first resolution with the surface shading result of the second resolution.

    Abstract: Provided is an image processing apparatus that may determine whether indirect lights are to be assigned to tiles for tile-based deferred rendering. For example, the image processing apparatus includes a calculator configured to calculate a correlation based on at least one of a first vector representing an object normal direction of a tile to be rendered and a second vector corresponding to a normal vector of an indirect light to be determined to be assigned to the tile, and a determiner configured to determine whether the indirect light is to be assigned to the tile by comparing the correlation to a threshold value.

    Abstract: A stereo matching method includes extracting feature points of a first image and feature points of a second image, the first image and the second image together constituting a stereo image, determining reference points by matching the feature points of the second image to the feature points of the first image, classifying the reference points, and performing stereo matching on pixels of which disparities are not determined in the first image and the second image based on disparities of the reference points in the pixels determined based on a result of the classifying.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for determining a lane, the method including extracting plural straight-line segments from a captured stereo image including a first image and a second image of a driving road, selecting a first lane from the stereo image based on line segments of the plural straight-line segments, corresponding to lanes of the driving road, predicting a second lane candidate, based on the first lane, including at least a portion of a lane area excluding the line segments in the stereo image, and determining a second lane by updating a position of the predicted second lane candidate based on a confidence value of the predicted second lane candidate.
