摘要: A hearing aid eartip is disclosed for use with an over-the-ear hearing aid which incorporates a means for accepting a detachable wax guard for the purposes of preventing wax buildup in the hearing aid sound transmission tube. The disclosed invention is effective at transmitting sound from an over-the-ear hearing aid to the patient's ear canal, is easily inserted into the patient's ear canal, and provides for a more aesthetically pleasing form factor than the prior art. The disclosed invention controls cerumen, improves overall hearing aid gain, and reduces unwanted hearing aid feedback.

摘要: A method for image recognition of a material object that utilizes graphical modeling of the corner points of a vertex which includes projecting a point on a digital display to an inward depth, a one half pixel distance in the plane of the display, with a conic to a digital display, and a square block containing one half size child blocks that are scaled to depth, projecting the corner points of a vertex and replacing the bisecting points of edge features detected in a digital display scaled at an increasing rate of congruency to the dimensions of an object. The method may further include producing a digital image of the material object, providing a central processing unit, providing memory associated with a central processing unit; providing a display associated with a central processing unit; loading the digital image into the memory; defining the edges of features within the digital image; and a finding fight crucial points from registrations projected on to an edge feature display.

摘要: Compounds suitable for use as constituents of ferroelectric smectic liquid crystal compositions, which are esters of formula (I), where R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 together represent the residue of an alicyclic hydrocarbon ring system where .degree.C. is an asymmetric carbon atom and X is a chain of up to three linked aromatic or alicyclic six-membered organic cyclic groups, laterally and/or terminally substituted. Preferred compounds have a formula (II), where R.sub.1 is alkyl or alkoxy, A, B, and D are phenyl, fluoro or chloro substituted phenyl or cyclohexyl, n is 0 or 1, Y is a bond or CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 if n is 0, or a bond CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 COO or COO if n is 1. Preferred groups C(CN)R.sub.2 R.sub.3 are formula (III) and (IV).

摘要: Methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, are described for developing workflow processes associated with data-encoded tags. A server receives tag data associated with each of a plurality of data-encoded tags from one or more mobile devices capable of reading data-encoded tags. The server generates a collection of tags to include each of the plurality of data-encoded tags. The server develops a workflow process associated with the collection of tags using the received tag data, and stores the workflow process in a data storage module.

摘要: A method for generating and adjusting an image obtained based on computed tomography data using a non-linear blending function is provided. In one embodiment of the method, first image data is obtained using a first X-ray energy, and second image data is obtained using a second X-ray image energy. An image is generated by blending the first and second image data using the non-linear function. The first X-ray energy and the second X-ray energy are different.
