    摘要: A package includes a packaging member; and an ink container which contains ink comprising pigment coloring material and solvent dispersing the coloring material and which has an ink supply port for permitting supply of the ink to an outside, wherein the ink container is mountable to an ink jet recording apparatus with the ink supply port at a lower position, the ink container accommodating an ink absorbing material for absorbing the ink and being provided with an air vent which is open for fluid communication between a space inside the ink container and ambience, and wherein a region tending to have a high coloring material density in the ink container is at a position generally diagonally opposite the ink supply port, wherein the ink container is in a first orientation which is different from a second orientation taken in use in the ink jet recording apparatus.

    摘要: An ink set includes inks each containing a colorant and an aqueous medium, wherein in a fading test under conditions that cause fading corresponding to pseudo-indoor sunlight fading through a window for 3 years or more, the difference between respective images' &Dgr;E, the images being produced with the respective inks, is 10 or less in a CIELAB color space display system, and each of the images has a residual ratio of reflection density of 70% or more. By using the ink set including the color inks with which images having substantially the same fading &Dgr;E after long-term storage are produced, the color balance of a recorded image can be maintained after long-term storage.

    摘要: A normally solid recording material for use in a jet recording method wherein a recording material is ejected through an ejection outlet for recording, is composed from a heat-fusible solid vehicle and a dye compound. The dye compound is formed as a salt of a dye having a group of --SO.sub.3 M or --COOM (wherein M denotes an alkali metal) and a linear alkylamine. As a result, the dye compound is provided with an increased molecular length, because of which the sublimability of the dye compound is suppressed to provide the recording material with improved fixability and freeness from a bleeding phenomenon that the color of a recorded image is transferred to another sheet contacting the image.
