A DVD-R storing image data, meta-data of the image data, and DVD-Video files has a dual layer structure comprising a first recording layer and a second recording layer. The first recording layer comprises an organic dye layer and the second recording layer has a phase-change alloy layer. The image data are recorded in the first recording layer while the meta-data and the DVD-Video files that can be generated again are recorded in the second recording layer.
