    摘要: An electromagnetic induced heating roller comprises a core member, an elastic layer, induction heating layer, and a mold release layer in this order from inside to outside. Further, a magnetic shield layer for preventing a magnetic flux from penetrating into the core member is interposed between the induction heating layer and the core member. The production of an alternating magnetic field from a magnetic field generating device, a leakage flux having penetrated through the induction heating layer is trapped by the magnetic shield layer. As a result, most of the impressed alternating magnetic flux is consumed for heating the heating layer, resulting in an improvement in the heating efficiency. A trouble is prevented which is generated by heating the bearing of the core member.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus uses a plurality of image forming units that are arranged rotatable in a vertical plane such that the image forming units are shifted sequentially to an image forming position. Each image forming unit has a translucent toner detection window on its outer periphery for detecting the remaining amount of toner in a toner hopper. The image forming units will have a replacing position in which it will face an opening for allowing replacement of the image forming unit. The translucent detection window will face the opening when the image forming unit is in the replacing position.

    摘要: A color image forming apparatus is provided, and includes a plurality of image forming units including a photosensitive drum, a charging device and a developing device; a carriage for retaining and rotating the plurality of image forming units so as to move the image forming units between an image forming position and a waiting position; an exposing device for exposing a surface of the photosensitive drum of the image forming unit located at the image forming position; an intermediate transfer belt for successive transfer and superposition of toner images of various colors from the photosensitive drum of the image forming units located at the image forming position so as to form a color toner image; a drive member for driving the photosensitive drum and the intermediate transfer belt; a position detector for detecting a reference position of the intermediate transfer belt when the intermediate transfer belt is driven, and outputting a reference position detection signal; a secondary transfer roller for transferring the color toner image on the intermediate transfer belt onto recording paper; and a controller for controlling the operation of the above structural elements. The controller determines an operation start time of the charging device and the developing device using a rotation command signal to the driving means as a reference, and an operation start time of the exposing device, the intermediate transfer belt and the secondary transfer roller using the reference position detection signal as a reference.

The color image forming apparatus includes: a conveying apparatus for conveying the plurality of image forming units around the main axis of the cylinder between an image forming position and a waiting position by simultaneously rotating all image forming units; an exposing device 6 for exposure of the photosensitive drum of the image forming unit that is in the image forming position 10; a transfer apparatus 5, which contacts a transfer belt 50 with the photosensitive drum 30 of the image forming unit that is in the image forming position, and when the image forming unit that is in the image forming position is switched, successively transcribes the toner images of all colors formed on the photosensitive drums onto the transfer belt, superimposes the toner images of all colors and forms a colored toner image on the transfer belt; and a transfer belt driving apparatus for driving the transfer belt at a constant speed. When a second color image is formed after a first color image, the first toner image color of the second color image is formed on the transfer belt by using the image forming unit of the last color added to the first color image. The exposing device includes a light source accommodated by the inner portion of the cylinder defined by the image forming units.

When rotated by the driving shaft of the agitator, the rotary shaft causes the toner in the toner container to drop into the toner hopper due to rotation of the stirring member within the toner container, which rotates simultaneously with the agitator in the hopper.
