    摘要: A device and method for the non-invasive measurement of blood glucose concentrations by millimeter waves. The device includes a millimeter wave generator; a TE10 mode rectangular waveguide transmitting a millimeter wave generated by the millimeter wave generator; and a plane parallel plate chosen to yield a minimal point of the power reflection coefficient of the millimeter wave incident to and reflected from the dielectric object under test via the TE10 mode rectangular waveguide and the plane parallel plate. The device also includes power detectors detecting the powers of the incident wave generated by the millimeter wave generator and the reflected wave from the dielectric object via the plane parallel plate; a temperature sensor measuring a temperature of the dielectric object; and a reader reading the minimum power reflection coefficient and a corresponding frequency from the incident and reflected wave detected by the power detectors.

    摘要: A microwave transponder. The microwave transponder includes a conductive plate including an antenna, and a semiconductor chip disposed within a terminal gap located in a vicinity of a center of the conductive plate. A window of a predetermined shape is formed to extend from the terminal gap toward a side of the conductive plate. The perfect impedance matching is fulfilled even when the transponder is bent. Since the return loss of the electromagnetic power is reduced at least in a quarter through the impedance matching, the energy transferred to the transponder is maximized.

    摘要: An optical pickup capable of multiple track scanning, including a light source having at least two vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) to emit at least two or more light beams and a light controlling device for controlling the focal position of a light formed on one type of recording medium of two formats of different thicknesses, is provided. The light emitted from each VCSEL is focused on adjacent tracks of the recording medium via a polarization beam splitter, the light controlling device and an objective lens in sequence, and the light reflected from the recording medium is received by a photodetector via the objective lens, the light controlling device and the polarization beam splitter. The number of photodetectors correspond to the number of VCSELs to receive lights corresponding to each track.
