    摘要: The present invention provides a display device including a scanning driving circuit which exhibits the high degree of freedom in designing of waveforms of scanning signals while ensuring the reduction of power consumption. A shift register served for a scanning driving circuit is driven at a voltage lower than a voltage amplitude of scanning signals. Booster circuits are provided corresponding to respective stages of the shift register. To each booster circuit, a common scanning signal which is in common with other booster circuits is inputted as a signal separate from a shift register output. The scanning signal is selected from the common scanning signal during a period in which the scanning signal is selected in response to the shift register output and the selected scanning signal is outputted to respective gate lines.

    摘要: A display device which enhances time-wise likelihood for a leak current from a floating memory node by increasing the number of writings of a voltage to a floating memory node. A vertical driver includes: a shift register including basic circuits which output common electrode driving pulses based on a transfer; and a common electrode driver including common basic circuits which receive the common electrode driving pulses and the transfer clock. Each common basic circuit includes: a circuit A which fetches an AC signal based on the common electrode driving pulse; a circuit B which outputs, based on the AC signal, a first common voltage or a second common voltage which differs from the first common voltage in voltage level to the common electrodes corresponding to the AC signal; and a circuit C which holds a state of the circuit B based on the transfer clock.

    摘要: A display device has a driver including a level converter formed of polysilicon MISTFTs. The level converter includes first, second and third N-channel MISTFTs (NMISTFTS) and first, second and third P-channel MISTFTs (PMISTFTS). Gate and first terminals of the first NMISTFT and PMISTFT, and a gate terminal of the third PMISTFT are coupled to an input terminal via a capacitance. Second terminals of the second NMISTFT and PMISTFT, and a gate terminal of third NMISTFT are coupled to the input terminal via a capacitance. A first terminal of the third PMISTFT, and second terminals of the first NMISTFT and PMISTFT are coupled to a high voltage. A second terminal of the third NMISTFT, gate and first terminals of the second NMISTFT and PMISTFT are coupled to a low voltage. A second terminal of the third PMISTFT and a first terminal of the third NMISTFT are connected to an output terminal.

    摘要: There is disclosed a transflective liquid crystal display device having reflective portions having an improved contrast ratio. At each subpixel of the display device, a pixel electrode is shared between transmissive and reflective portions. Independent counter electrodes are used respectively for the transmissive and reflective portions. Different potentials are applied to the counter electrodes for the transmissive and reflective portions. The transmissive portion operates in normally black mode. That is, the transmissive portion displays black when no voltage is applied. The reflective portion operates in normally white mode. That is, the reflective portion displays white when no voltage is applied. The liquid crystal layer in the reflective portion is thicker than the liquid crystal layer in the transmissive portion.

    摘要: An inverter includes an input inverter having a high-resistance load and a first transistor and an output buffer including second and third transistors coupled in series. A power supply voltage is provided to satisfy an inequality VDD1>VDD2+Vth where VDD1 is the power supply voltage of the input inverter, VDD2 is the power supply voltage of the output buffer, and Vth is the threshold voltage of the transistors. Use of the high-resistance load allows an output waveform to rise and fall quickly, as well as reduces current consumption.
