摘要: A modular type node apparatus for packet communication wherein, when an extension module is added to a switching unit, a control packet to request setting of forwarding control parameters indicating flow definition information of a packet to be processed by the extension module and an internal address is issued from the extension module to a control module of the packet communication node apparatus. The control module automatically sets a table entry indicating the relationship of the flow definition information and the internal address of the extension module in a packet forwarding control table to be referred by each of network interface modules.

摘要: A gateway device disposed at front stage before a server has a dispersion rule of data dispersed on server side and analyzes communication data to specify a server to be accessed finally, so that identification information of the specified server is added to packet option of IP layer to thereby omit higher-rank routing processing than IP layer of gateway devices on the way. Consequently, transfer processing of a gateway device at back stage can be performed at high speed and access passing through a network route intended by manager is possible.

摘要: This invention provides an apparatus that associates a location where a terminal uses communication or travel route in use of the communication, with a connection destination of the terminal. The apparatus includes a communication log analyzer that aggregates communication logs collected by network apparatuses that constitute the mobile network and analyzes it. The communication log analyzer estimates travel route of the terminal connected the network using: log information generated by a base station to be connected to the terminal at the time of starting the connection, log information generated by a base station to be connected to the terminal at the time of a handover of the connection, and log information generated by a base station connected to the terminal at the time of detaching the connection.

摘要: In a packet forwarding apparatus having a plurality of interfaces for connection to external networks, at least one of the interfaces is designated as an extension interface, and an extension apparatus having an additional function is connected to the packet forwarding apparatus via the extension interface. An ingress packet having been received by another of the network interfaces and for which the additional function is to be used is forwarded to the extension apparatus and the ingress packet processed with the additional function is inputted again to the packet forwarding apparatus via the extension interface and sent out to a corresponding external network from a network interface corresponding to the destination address of the ingress packet.

摘要: To analyze traffic at an application level, a stream according to TCP or SCTP is required to be reconstructed and to be analyzed. When a packet is transferred to analyzing equipment using a port mirroring function with which a router and a switch are provided, transferred traffic volume increases and exceeds the throughput of the analyzing equipment. As only a part of packets configuring a stream is transferred to the analyzing equipment in transfer to the analyzing equipment using a packet sampling function, analysis at the application level is impossible. To solve the problem, when a packet communication unit recognizes a stream start packet, samples a stream initiated by the packet on a condition and at a rate respectively determined beforehand and generates a condition for copying the packet based upon information of both ends of the stream included in the packet, packets sampled in units of stream can be transferred to the analyzing equipment.
