摘要： A powder detector to detect an amount of powder in the powder container includes a wall without a through hole, a vibration plate attached to an inner face of the wall, a contact member to vibrate the vibration plate, and a vibration detector to detect a vibration state of the vibration plate. The vibration detector is attached to an outer face of the wall to face the vibration plate via the wall. The powder has flowability, and the vibration state of the vibration plate is affected by the powder in the powder container.

摘要： A powder detection device includes a detection mechanism including an oscillation unit and a vibrated member, a vibrating member, and a detection unit. The oscillation unit outputs a signal having a frequency according to a state of a magnetic flux passing a space facing the oscillation unit. The vibrated member affecting the magnetic flux and disposed inside a container to face the oscillation unit via the container is vibrated by the vibrating member in a direction of facing the oscillation unit. The detection unit acquires frequency information of the signal at predetermined periods, determines presence/absence of an error of the detection mechanism based on error information associating a type of the error with a state of the signal, detects vibration of the vibrated member based on a change in the frequency information, and detects a remaining amount of powder in the container based on the detected vibration.

摘要： An image forming apparatus is provided with a carriage in which recording heads having nozzles for ejecting liquid droplets are mounted and is configured to form an image on a recording medium being transported. The image forming apparatus includes a pattern forming unit that forms an impact position displacement adjustment pattern formed of plural independent liquid droplets on a water repellent member; a reading unit that includes a light emitting unit for emitting light onto the adjustment pattern and a light receiving unit for receiving specular reflection light from the adjustment pattern; and an impact position correcting unit that corrects an impact position of a liquid droplet to be ejected from the recording head based on a read result by the reading unit. The reading unit is disposed on the carriage and is arranged close to the side of a guide member that guides movement of the carriage.

摘要： An apparatus for driving a floppy disc includes a first sensor responsive to a magnetic disc encased in a jacket of the floppy disc. Before the magnetic disc is gripper in a predetermined position, a d.c. motor included in a disc rotating mechanism is started in order to prevent rush current therethrough. After the start of the d.c. motor, a second sensor senses a return of the magnetic disc to a predetermined regular position whereupon a cone load drive source is activated to automatically move a cone toward a drive hub. Thus, the magnetic disc can be gripped and set in the regular position merely by inserting it into the apparatus. The apparatus also includes ejection apparatus for ejecting the floppy disc.

摘要： A powder detection device includes a detection mechanism including an oscillation unit and a vibrated member, a vibrating member, and a detection unit. 摘要： An adjustment pattern, which is composed of a reference pattern made of plural independent liquid droplets and a pattern to be measured made of plural independent liquid droplets ejected under an ejection condition different from the reference pattern, is formed on a water-repellent conveying belt. Then, light is applied to the adjustment pattern to receive the regular reflection light from the adjustment pattern, so that the adjustment pattern is scanned. The distance between the respective patterns is measured based on the measured result. Finally, liquid droplet ejection timing of the recording head is corrected based on the result thus measured.
