    摘要: Radiotherapy apparatus comprises a source of radiation mounted on a chassis, that is rotatable about a rotation axis and the source being adapted to emit a beam of radiation along a beam axis; a patient support, moveable along a translation axis; a set of magnetic coils located on either side of the beam, for establishing a magnetic field along a first direction; the translation axis, the rotation axis, and the first direction being substantially parallel; and further comprising a multi-leaf collimator fixed in its orientation with respect to the source of radiation, the multi-leaf collimator comprising a plurality of elongate leaves disposed with their longitudinal directions substantially aligned with the first direction and movable in that direction between a withdrawn position in which the leaf lies outside the beam, an extended position in which the leaf projects across the beam.

    摘要: Interference in an electronic article surveillance (EAS) system is reduced by transmitting warning pulse at a predetermined time following the EAS marker exciter pulse. The predetermined time and duration of the warning pulse are chosen so that the warning pulse acts upon a noise interference avoidance process in a second non-cooperative EAS unit. More particularly, the warning electromagnetic pulse causes a timing change in a second synchronized electromagnetic exciter pulse produced by the second EAS unit when the second synchronized electromagnetic exciter pulse is concurrent with the first receive interval. This timing change causes the second EAS unit to no longer interfere with the first EAS unit.

    摘要: A hand carried power tool (100) is presented which includes a vibration-producing power unit (15) interconnected with an elongate handle (20). The handle (20) has a base end (24) coupled to the power unit (15) and an opposite free end (28) configured for manual gripping. Additionally a vibration damping member (50), which permits vibration-induced movement between the base end (24) of the handle (20) and the power unit (15), interstitially located between the base end (24) of the handle (20) and the power unit (15). Furthermore, a resilient biasing member (40) is coupled between the elongate handle (20) and the power unit (15). The biasing member (40) connects to the handle (20) at a location distant from the base end (24) of the handle (20) and the biasing member (40) is configured to dampen vibration-induced relative movement between the base end (24) of the handle (20) and the power unit (15).
