    摘要： A system and method for automated estimation of average stopped delay at signalized intersections using digitized still image analysis of actual traffic flow is disclosed. The system and method includes digitizing images of an intersection and creating a line of pixels that acts as a virtual sensor in a traffic lane of interest. Background intensities of the pixel line on the traffic lane without vehicles are compared to pixel intensities on images with traffic. Once vehicles are identified, the present method and system provides for three alternative embodiments of methods for determining the stopped delay for an entire image or for a particular vehicle. Once the stopped delay for all relevant images or for all relevant vehicles is determined, the average stopped delay per vehicle is estimated.

    摘要： A camera is equipped with a member bearing data to be photographed such as a date and the like and a data light focusing optical system for projecting the illuminated data from the data member at the front of the camera rearwardly with the object light toward the data photographing portion of the film. The data light focusing optical system is arranged so that the data light is directed to be incident on the data photographing portion of the film from a direction different from the incident direction of the object light. Provided in the front of the data photographing portion of the film is an object light incidence limiting member which is positioned parallel with the plane of the film and allows the transmission of the data light therethrough but interrupts the object light directed toward the data light focusing portion of the film.

    摘要： Techniques whereby a client computer may request metadata relating to a peripheral device from one or more server computers are provided. Upon connecting to a peripheral device, the client computer receives information identifying the device, and generates a query, using the received information, for metadata relating to the device. The client computer may, for example, first attempt to execute the query locally to determine if metadata appropriate for use (e.g., not outdated) is stored on the client computer. If not, the client computer may issue the query to one or more server computers which stores metadata received from manufacturers and/or suppliers of peripheral devices. The one or more server computers may issue a response making the requested metadata available to the client computer and providing instructions relating to subsequent requests from the client computer, so as to manage the processing load borne by the one or more server computers. The client computer may employ the metadata to present a graphical interface that enables the user to manage the device.
