Abstract:
A fuel delivery system is provided for a turbine engine. This fuel delivery system includes a variable orifice jet configured to spray fuel received from a spray bar fuel conduit. The variable orifice jet includes a flexible body and a pintle that extends through a sidewall of the flexible body. An area of an orifice between the sidewall and the pintle is variable.
Abstract:
An air modulating system for a gas turbine engine includes a fixed plate with a fluid passage inlet, a floating plate with a first side adjacent to the fluid passage inlet, an actuated mount configured to move the floating plate relative to the fixed plate, and a linkage element for connecting the floating plate to the actuated mount. The linkage element includes a mounting flange configured to slidably engage the floating plate.
Abstract:
A seal system is provided. The seal system may comprise a first duct having an annular geometry, a second duct overlapping the first duct in a radial direction, and a seal disposed between the first duct and the second duct. The seal may comprise a groove defined by the first duct and a piston configured to slideably engage the groove.
Abstract:
A push-lock pin for connecting a plate to surface includes a cylindrical pin housing and a shaft within the housing. The shaft has a ball-lock mechanism and a push-down pop-up mechanism.

Abstract:
A liner panel for use in a combustor of a gas turbine engine, the liner panel including a cold side; and a rail that extends from the cold side, the rail includes a first diffusion interface passage surface and a second diffusion interface passage surface, the first diffusion interface passage surface angled with respect to the second diffusion interface passage surface.
Abstract:
A coated panel for a gas turbine engine includes a panel having a panel inner surface and a pocket formed in the panel inner surface, the pocket having a pocket depth. A coating is applied to the pocket such that a coating edge is disposed within the pocket to enhance coating retention to the panel. A gas turbine engine includes a turbine, a combustor to supply hot combustion gases to the turbine along a gas path, and one or more coated panels located along the gas path. The one or more panels includes a panel having a panel inner surface, and a pocket formed in the panel inner surface, the pocket having a pocket depth. A coating is applied to the pocket such that a coating edge is located within the pocket to enhance coating retention to the panel.
Abstract:
A composite wear pad for being coupled to a slider block of a convergent nozzle of a gas turbine engine includes a high heat capacity composite having a resin and a plurality of carbon fibers bonded together by the resin. The composite wear pad also includes a first rod coupled to the high heat capacity composite at a first axial end of the composite wear pad such that a first end thickness. The composite wear pad also includes a second rod coupled to the high heat capacity composite at a second axial end of the composite wear pad such that the first axial end and the second axial end of the composite wear pad each have an end thickness that is greater than a middle thickness of the composite wear pad.
Abstract:
A system for modulating air flow in a gas turbine engine is provided. The system may include a seal wall comprising an opening, a seal door configured to slideably engage the seal wall, and an actuator configured to move the seal door over the opening. In various embodiments, the system may include a surface forward of the seal door. The seal door may be configured to seal a passage through the surface and the opening of the seal wall. A track may be disposed under the seal door. The track may comprise cobalt. Rollers may be coupled to the seal door with the rollers on the track. The seal door may comprise a nickel-chromium alloy. A sync ring may be coupled to the seal door. The actuator may be coupled through the sync ring to the seal door.
Abstract:
A hanger includes a connector assembly for coupling the hanger to a first annular duct, a bracket for coupling the hanger to a second annular duct concentrically disposed within the first annular duct, and a cable formed by a plurality of wires bound together that extend from the connector assembly to the bracket. A plurality of circumferentially-spaced hangers placed in tension support an exhaust duct liner relative to an exhaust duct. The hangers permit circumferential and axial displacement at each hanger of the exhaust duct liner relative to the exhaust duct. The displacement of the exhaust duct liner relative to the exhaust duct at each hanger is permitted in a first radial direction that decreases tension in the cable and is restrained in a second radial direction that increases tension in the cable.
