    Abstract: A network device may instantiate a first process in a first Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) cluster within a first MEC network; register the first MEC network at a MEC cloud; receive a call from the first process to obtain information from a second process in a second MEC cluster within a second MEC network that is registered at the MEC cloud; create a first message based on the call; send the first message from the first MEC cluster to the second MEC cluster; receive, at the first MEC cluster, a second message from the second MEC cluster, wherein the second message is provided by the second MEC cluster in response to receiving the first message; and extract a return value from the second message, wherein the return value is generated by the second process in response to receipt of the call in the second MEC cluster.

    Abstract: Systems and methods implement closed loop analytics feedback for a transport network. A network device, such as a Network Data Analytics Function (NWDAF), receives, from a commissioning network function, an analytic information request for analytic event information and sends, to the commissioning network function, an analytic report that is responsive to the analytic information request wherein the analytic report includes a unique analytic report identifier. The network device receives, from the commissioning network function, a feedback event message that includes the analytic report identifier and a change description for a network parameter change influenced by the analytic report.

    Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide for coordination of inactivity procedures between wireless stations in a multi-RAT dual connectivity scenario. A wireless station identifies, for an end device, a multi-radio access technology (RAT) dual connectivity scenario with dedicated bearers and detects inactivity for a bearer using the master wireless station. In response to the detecting, the master wireless station sends, to a secondary wireless station, an inactivity status check for another bearer of the multi-RAT dual connectivity scenario. When a response to the inactivity status check is received from the secondary wireless station within a designated time window, the master wireless station waits for a release request from the secondary wireless station and initiates an inactivity procedure for the end device when the release request is received.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for network slice selection during an initial connection. A wireless station receives, from a core network device, network slice data for each network slice available via the wireless station, wherein the network slice data includes a slice identifier and corresponding slice characteristics for each network slice. The wireless station receives, from a user equipment (UE) device, a registration request message that indicates a network slice characteristic required by an application being executed on UE device. The wireless station selects, based on the network slice data from the core network device and the network slice characteristic from the UE device, one of the slice identifiers for servicing the UE device.

    Abstract: A network device receives an attach request indicating that a user device is attempting a connection associated with a non-access stratum (NAS) and a particular interface, and generates a create session request that includes an indication that the connection for the user device is associated with the NAS and the particular interface. The network device provides, to a serving gateway (SGW) of the network, the create session request that includes the indication, and receives, from the SGW, a create session response that includes rules for handling the connection for the user device that is associated with the NAS and the particular interface, wherein the rules have been generated by a policy and charging rules function (PCRF) of the network. The network device provides, to the user device, an attach accept, that includes the rules, to permit the user device is to connect with the network and to utilize the rules.
