摘要： Encapsulated aluminum salts are produced by combining and heating an aqueous aluminum salt selected from aluminum halohydrate, aluminum nitrohydrate and mixtures thereof; a hydrophobic liquid; and a carboxylate. The mixture is heated until substantially all of the free water has been removed. The encapsulated aluminum salts precipitate out after the removal of the water. The encapsulated aluminum salts are useful in deodorant and antiperspirant compositions.

摘要： This invention pertains to neutralized silicone elastomer dispersions and methods for making neutralized silicone elastomer dispersions. This invention also pertains to compositions comprising the neutralized silicone elastomer and an acid reactive compound. The silicone elastomer dispersion are neutralized typically by blending the silicone elastomer dispersion with a base such as sodium bicarbonate or by adding a basic neutralizing agent to one or more of the raw materials used to make the silicone elastomer dispersion and removing the basic neutralizing agent by filtration or any other suitable means.

摘要： Three-dimensional silicone elastomers having polyether and higher alkyl functionality in their molecules form networks of crosslinked linear siloxanes with polyether and olefin containing repeating units, and these silicone elastomers can be used as emulsifiers for making O/O and three-phase aqueous emulsions. One of the oil phases is a silicone oil, while the other oil phase is an organic oil such as mineral oil or castor oil. These emulsions of two and three mutually insoluble liquids are useful in personal and health care applications.

摘要： A curable organosiloxane-polyisobutylene composition comprising 20 to 87 weight percent of a polyisobutylene comprising at least 2 alkenyl groups per molecule, 0.4 to 70 weight percent of a polyorganosiloxane comprising at least 2 silicon-bonded alkenyl groups per molecule, 7 to 50 weight percent of a treated reinforcing silica filler, an amount sufficient to cure the composition of an organohydrogensiloxane crosslinker, and a platinum-group metal hydrosilation catalyst in an amount sufficient to effect curing of the composition. Cured elastomers prepared from the compositions can have improved resistance to gas and vapor permeability.
