    摘要: So as to realize an image forming apparatus capable of withstanding a long period of practical use and which does not waste toners, an image forming apparatus is provided having a cleaning roller and a reverse charge promoting member which applies a bias having a reverse polarity to residual toners which have remained on a photoconductor, a charger unit for establishing the charge polarity of the toners to the same polarity as the surface of the photoconductor, and a developer roller to which is applied a bias voltage to enable the rollers to recover the toners on the photoconductor. In the image forming apparatus, there is a cleaner unit having a simplified construction in which there is a minimum of the waste of toners, and further, since in the image forming process the toners are efficiently discharged from the cleaner unit, the lowering of the cleaning performance hardly occurs.

    摘要: A development process and a fixing process are carried out on a front side of a recording paper. The paper recorded on the first side is transported toward a returning transportation device. The development process and the fixing process are then carried out on a back side of the paper. A nozzle for blowing out an air flow, an inverter roll for inverting the paper and the returning transportation device are arranged between the fixing station and a reversal station. The paper is deformed by the local cooling due to the air for peeling by the nozzle, the inverter roll and the returning transportation device. The portions (working regions) which receive the local cooling are arranged such that at most two of the working regions occur at any point of the recording medium paper. The inferiority of the local images in the defects in transfer and the local lowering degree in the density of the images are decreased.

    摘要: In a developing system containing a combination of forward-rotating and a backward-rotating developing rollers, a steady quantity of developing agent should be supplied to the developing rollers for high-quality printed images. This requirement can be satisfied by placing a doctor blade between an intersection point, where a line connecting the central axis of one of the developing rollers and its polarity reversing position meets a line connecting the central axis of the other of the developing rollers and its polarity reversing position, and the developing roller pair. Further, the doctor blade should be located on the upstream side of the developing agent flow relative to the central axes of the backward-rotating developing roller and the forward rotating developing roller with its rightmost side (upstream side) in parallel with the line connecting the central axes of the developing rollers, and the doctor gap (on the side of the developing roller to which the developing agent is supplied) should be greater than a minimum gap (doctor gap) between one end of the doctor blade and the surface of the developing roller to which the developing agent is first supplied.

    摘要: A developing apparatus in which a stationary multipole permanent magnet is placed in a sleeve and in which development is performed by bringing a developer, which contains at least carrier and toner particles and is held on the periphery of a sleeve by use of the magnetic force of the multipole permanent magnet, into contact with a photo-conductive body owing to the rotation of the sleeve. For securing image density and for preventing the deposition of carrier onto the photo-conductive body, two magnetic pieces, each of which is arranged lengthwise in the direction of the axis thereof and which have the same polarity, are placed in a region in the multipole permanent magnet which faces the photo-conductive body in such a manner as to adjoin in the circumferential direction of said permanent magnet. This results in generation of the distribution of a magnetic field which has two peaks of magnetic force. The position at which the second one of the two peaks of the magnetic force is formed, downstream in the direction of rotation of the sleeve, is set at the nearest point between the photo-conductive body and the sleeve. Thereby, even when development is performed by bringing the developer into light contact with the photo-conductive body, the image density can be secured. Further, the carrier can be prevented from depositing on the photo-conductive body.
