    摘要: A socket comprises a socket body and a plurality of contactors mounted on the socket body for electrical contact with leads of an electrical component at bottom sides of the leads. Holding members are mounted on the socket body. At least one slider made of an insulating member is held by the holding members and movable between a retracted position where the slider does not confront with the leads of the electrical component and a forward position where the slider can confront with the leads. The slider is urged by springs toward the forward position from the retracted position and is also urged by the holding members in a direction toward the leads. An operating member has a first operating portion which can push the holding members to move the slider upward from the leads of the electrical component and a second operating portion which can move the slider from the forward position to the retracted position against the urging force of the springs after the slider has been moved upward from the leads.

    摘要: An IC socket jig is used in an IC socket pressing and affixing or releasing an electronic component with respect to contact pins by the movement of a slider in substantially a horizontal direction. The slider is moved in substantially a horizontal direction by an inclined portion formed in a cam pin of the jig which can vertically move. When the jig is attached to the IC socket, after a positioning pin is inserted into a positioning hole, the inclined portion of the cam pin is engaged with a shaft pin of the slider. When the jig is detached from the IC socket, after the engagement between the inclined portion of the cam pin provided in the upper block and the shaft pin of the slider of the IC socket is released, the positioning pin of the lower block is pulled out of the positioning hole of the socket body.

    摘要: A socket assembly for accommodating an IC chip or package (IC) provided with a socket body having a generally rectangular configuration. A plurality of flat plate-like contact pins are arranged forming rows in parallel with each other so as to form rows along four sides of the socket body, respectively. Each contact pin has a base portion and an arm which extends curved upward from the base portion. An upward contact portion for coming into contact with a terminal of an IC is formed on one end of the base portion of the contact pin, and a connecting portion for the connection to the printed circuit board is formed on the other end of the base portion. Four sliders are arranged along the four sides of the socket body, respectively. Each slider is supported by the base portions and arms of the row-forming contact pins and can move between an open position for accommodating the IC and a pressing position for pressing against the IC by an elastic force of the arms to bring the terminals of the IC into press-contact with the contact portions of the contact pins.
