摘要： An image processing apparatus ejects the sheet to witch image processing unit perform to an ejection tray or a staple stacker by a pair of ejection rollers and the like. A sheet path for guiding the sheet to the ejection rollers is opened and closed in conjunction with slide movement of the ejection tray when the ejection tray is attached to a main body of the apparatus, and the sheet path is opened and closed in conjunction with the slide movement of a staple stacker when the staple stacker is attached to the main body of the apparatus.

摘要： A sheet feeding apparatus including: a separating roller which abuts against a feed roller and is rotated in association with the feed roller; and a torque-limiter for allowing the separating roller to rotate in association with the feed roller when a rotation torque larger than a predetermined torque is acted on the separating roller and for preventing the separating roller from rotating in association with the feed roller when the rotation torque equal to or smaller than the predetermined torque is acted on the separating roller, in which sheets fed from a sheet feed cassette are separated one by one by the feed roller and the separating roller, the separating roller urged against the feed roller is supported by a guide member in a slidable manner, and the separating roller is guided with a predetermined angle in a direction different from a direction in which the feed roller is opposed to the separating roller.

摘要： A sheet post-treating apparatus is provided with a discharged sheet stacking tray displaceably provided in a casing portion for stacking thereon sheets discharged from the casing portion, and a holding portion for holding the discharged sheet stacking tray in a first position and a second position overlying the first position, and is designed such that the sheets are stacked on the discharged sheet stacking tray when in the first position, and therefore, when the sheet post-treating apparatus is incorporated into a printer and a cartridge in the printer is to be interchanged with a cartridge cover opened, a user can retract the discharged sheet stacking tray to the second position to thereby interchange the cartridge.

摘要： A sheet treating apparatus including the first intermediate stacking portion for hitting an edge of a sheet in a transport direction against a wall to align the sheet, a pair of delivery rollers for delivering the sheet from the first intermediate stacking portion, the second intermediate stacking portion for carrying-in and supporting the sheet downstream of the pair of delivery rollers in the transport direction and aligning edges of the sheet in a cross direction perpendicular to the transport direction, a sheet stacking portion located below the second intermediate stacking portion in the gravitational direction, and a full load detecting unit for detecting full load of sheets on the sheet stacking portion, in which the full load detecting unit contacts an upper surface of sheets on the sheet stacking portion with a full load detecting flag, which has a pivotal fulcrum in a higher position than that of the pair of delivery rollers to detect a height of the upper surface, and does not perform full load detection of sheets during a sheet treatment in the intermediate stacking portion.

摘要： An image forming apparatus provided with a positioning mechanism for positioning a process cartridge in the main assembly. The process cartridge is detachably mountable into the main assembly. The main assembly includes a bottom frame and a top frame which is capable of taking a closing position and an opening position. The process cartridge is loaded into the top frame or bottom frame. Prior to the start of image formation, the process cartridge is correctly positioned with respect to the bottom frame. The bottom frame contains the major part of the optical system, whereby the accurate relative position can be accomplished with an optical system of the cartridge.
