摘要： An image processing apparatus includes: a support surface configured to support a sheet, a sheet feeding roller configured to feed the sheet in a conveying direction, a separation member for separating the sheet one by one and positioned downstream of the sheet feeding roller in the conveying direction, and a regulating member displaceable between a first position where the regulating member abuts against a distal end of the sheet supported by the support surface to regulate passage of the sheet in the conveying direction between the sheet feeding roller and the separation member and a second position that is farther from a conveyance path than the first position and that allows passage of the sheet in the conveying direction. The regulating member has a wall surface that abuts against the distal end of the sheet and includes at least one protrusion on the wall surface.

摘要： According to one embodiment, a sheet feed device includes a first roller, a second roller, a torque limiter, a holder, and a driving unit. The first roller conveys a sheet in a first direction while being in contact with a first surface of the sheet. The second roller faces the first roller and is in contact with a second surface which is a back side of the first surface of the sheet in a state of sandwiching the sheet between the second roller and the first roller. The torque limiter imparts an anti-torque to the second roller in order to generate a force on the second surface in a direction opposite to the first direction. The holder rotatably supports the second roller. The driving unit moves the holder and biases the holder toward the first roller.

摘要： In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a sheet transport device is described. The sheet transport device includes a pickup roller to insert a sheet into a sheet path. A pair of separation rollers of the sheet transportation device form a nip that advances the sheet along the sheet path. A first separation shaft on which a first separation roller is disposed rotates in a first direction as the sheet is advanced and a second separation shaft on which a second separation roller is disposed also rotates in the first direction as the sheet is advanced. The second separation roller is driven in a second direction via a torque limiter. A motor rotates the shafts. A one-way clutch is disposed on the second separation shaft to disengage the second separation shaft from the motor when the motor is operating in a reverse mode.

The reflector is integrally attached to the roller, the reflector including first reflecting surfaces and second reflecting surfaces arranged alternately along a circumference direction of the roller. The sensor includes a light emitter and a light receiver. The rotating speed detector is configured to detect a rotating speed of the roller based on a result of the detection by the sensor. Each of the first reflecting surfaces reflects the inspection light at a first reflection ratio, and provides a first reflection light path along which the inspection light is directed to the light receiver. Each of the second reflecting surfaces reflects the inspection light at a second reflection ratio smaller than the first reflection ratio, and provides a second reflection light path along which the inspection light is directed outside the light receiver.

摘要： A sheet feed device includes a device main body, a sheet feed cassette, a sheet conveyance path, a sheet feed roller, a retard roller, a support unit, and a pair of lock mechanisms. The retard roller is disposed to face the sheet feed roller in the device main body and, together with the sheet feed roller, forms a sheet feed nip portion through which the sheet is passed. The support unit is disposed in the device main body and supports the retard roller. The lock mechanisms are supported by the support unit in the device main body so as to face the wall portion of the sheet feed cassette. 摘要： A recording-medium feeding device includes a container, a separating mechanism, and a suppressing member. The container accommodates recording media. The separating mechanism includes a driving member, a separating member, and a torque limiter. The driving member comes into contact with and delivers an uppermost recording medium. The separating member separates the recording media one-by-one. When a rotational torque smaller than a predetermined rotational torque is applied to the torque limiter, the torque limiter repels a load of the rotational torque to inhibit rotation of the separating member. When a rotational torque larger than or equal to the predetermined rotational torque is applied to the torque limiter, the torque limiter allows the separating member to be rotationally driven in accordance with the load. The suppressing member suppresses receding movement of the recording media caused by reverse rotation of the separating member when the driving member stops.

摘要： The present invention provides a medium protection device and a medium separating and stacking device capable of avoiding damage to a medium when moving the medium along a guide. In a banknote cassette, a guide body is attached to a circumferential side face of a central body of a tongue piece roller in a range not provided with tongue pieces. When feeding out banknotes, the banknote cassette stops the tongue piece roller in a retracted state, thereby positioning an outer circumferential face of the guide body in the vicinity of the surface of a front upper curved portion of a hole in the conveyance guide, such that the hole can be placed in an almost completely blocked state. The present invention can accordingly prevent the vicinity of a corner of a banknote from entering the hole, enabling creasing during conveyance to be forestalled.
