摘要: In continuous hot dipping of metal strip, the tension of the strip at pre-treatment furnaces and that at air-wiping nozzles are isolated and made independent of each other. For this purpose bridle rolls driven by motors are disposed downstream of the pre-treatment furnaces. The tension at the former is maintained at a lower value, while the tension at the latter is maintained at a higher value. The bridle rolls are mounted in bearings which are covered by seal boxes in which an inert gas is enclosed so as to prevent the intrusion of atmospheric air into the furnaces.

摘要: A wearing article having front and rear waist belt members that include waist elastic members attached thereto and spaced one from another in a longitudinal direction Y. On non-contractile regions, these elastic members do not overlap graphics on respective heat-sealable sheets or exert contractile force thereon. The non-contractile regions are formed by leaving between inner and outer sheets as well as between inner and outer sheets not coated with adhesive in respective middles of the front and rear waist belt members as viewed in a transverse direction X and cutting the waist elastic members attached under tension in the respective middles of the waist belt members. Along the ends of the non-contractile regions on the side of the crotch member, the inner and outer sheets as well as the inner and outer sheets are respectively joined to each other by means of heat sealing technique so as to form the joint zones.

摘要: A disposable absorbent wearing article constructed with an absorbent core that may be deformed to form absorbent barriers against body waste and thereby an absorbent chassis that includes the absorbent core may be kept in contact with the wearer's torso with good fitness to improve appearance of the article put on the wearer's body and to prevent leak of body waste. The disposable absorbent wearing article comprising an absorbent chassis and an annular elasticized waist panel wherein the absorbent core of the absorbent chassis is formed with deformation guides so that at least opposite lateral regions of said absorbent core may be deformed along the deformation guides toward the wearer's torso under elastic contraction of at least a front waist panel constituting the annular waist panel.

摘要: In a disposable wearing article, connector sheet strips for connecting front and rear waist regions of the article have proximal sections and flap-like sections. The proximal sections are fixed to the rear waist region on its inner surface along zones contiguous to transversely opposite side edges of the rear waist region. Flexural rigidity of the flap-like sections as measured in a transverse direction of the article is higher than that of the article as measured in regions lying immediately inside the respective zones which are, in turn, contiguous to the respective side edges, so that a direction in which the connector sheet strips extend can be easily reversed.

摘要: An absorbent disposable undergarment includes an outer garment, such as pants, in combination with a detachable absorbent pad attached inside thereof. First suspending flaps hang down from an inner side of a stretchable waist-opening peripheral edge of the pants toward a crotch section of the pants. The first suspending flaps are provided with first fastener elements that are disposed remote from the waist opening of the pants. Second suspending flaps extend upwardly from longitudinally opposite ends of the absorbent pad. The second suspending flaps are provided with second fastener elements, that are adapted to mate with the first fastener elements, and are disposed remote from the core of the pad. These second fasteners are releasably engaged with the first fasteners.

摘要: A liquid absorbent pad includes an elastically stretchable basic sheet upon which an absorbent core is periodically bonded. The absorbent core is bonded while the basic sheet is stretched. The absorbent core includes a structure which encourages the formation of corrugations therein when the basic sheet is released. The corrugations enable the flow of material in the troughs of the corrugations, and thereby reduce soilage of the upper surface of the absorbent core by fecal matter. The liquid absorbent pad is suitable for undergarment use in which the basic sheet includes a waist opening and a pair of leg openings. In one embodiment, the structure which encourages the formation of corrugations includes gaps between adjacent strips of absorbent material. In another embodiment, the structure is periodic regions of reduced density or rigidity. In a further embodiment, the structure includes periodic longitudinal indentations alternating on opposite sides of the absorbent pad.

摘要: A contact combustion type carbon monoxide sensor having no sensitivity to H.sub.2, C.sub.2 H.sub.5 OH and other gases but having a CO sensitivity of 25 to 50 mV at a bridge voltage of 6 to 12 V and a concentration of 500 ppm. Each coil is made of a Fe.Pd system alloy wire material having a large diameter, a specific resistance value, a Vickers' hardness value and a temperature coefficient values each falling within a specific range. A catalyst comprising Cu.sub.2 O, ZnO, MnO.sub.2 and Pt black is formed on the upper surface of the coil of an active portion, and a catalyst comprising CuO and Cr.sub.2 O.sub.3 is formed on the upper surface of the coil of a dummy portion.

摘要: Graphic signals and literal (or drawing) signals are recorded substantially simultaneously by increasing or decreasing the number of beam components output from at least one of a literal head and a graphic head after a specified number of scanning lines, both of which heads are being synchronously fed in the sub-scanning direction. Variation of the number of beam components used in the head is used to change the scan length of the head, for synchronizing the feed pitch therefor with the feed pitch of the other head when the scan lengths of the two are not integrally related. Differences between the feed pitch and the scan length of the variable scan length recording head are corrected by slight adjustments of the head position in the sub-scanning direction.
