摘要: A method for transmitting data between first and second nodes in a network comprises (a) the first node sending a start packet to the second node, (b) the first node starting a first counter concurrently with sending the start packet, wherein the first counter starts counting, (c) the second node starting a timer in response to the start packet, (d) the second node starting a second counter in response to the timer running for a predetermined delay time, wherein the second counter starts counting, (e) the first node stopping the first counter and sending a stop packet in response to the first node determining that the number of accumulated first counts corresponds to the data (thereby transmitting the data solely as a time interval between the start and stop packets), the second node stopping the second counter in response to the stop packet (and receiving the transmitted data).

摘要: A water heater is provided by a refrigerant cycle, in which the gas cooler is utilized to heat the water. A drain is incorporated into a water circuit for draining all of the water outwardly of the circuit when the system is shut down. In a preferred embodiment, a water outlet of the gas cooler is at the vertically lowermost portion of the water circuit. A drain valve is placed in this vertically lowermost location such that the water can be easily drained.

摘要: A variable nozzle system can comprise a gas inlet ring, an opposing gas outlet ring, an actuation ring, guides, and vanes circumferentially spaced about and disposed between the gas inlet ring and the gas outlet ring. The gas inlet ring, the gas outlet ring, and the vanes can form nozzles, the nozzles being variable by rotation of the vanes about a pivot axis. The plurality of guides can extend from the gas inlet ring, the gas outlet ring, or the actuation ring, and the vanes can be connected to the actuation ring, so that each vane can be rotated by rotation of the actuation ring and by sliding against a respective guide from the plurality of guides. The actuation ring can have a gear rack and can be rotated by rotatable engagement of the gear rack with a pinion attached to the end of a rotatable gear shaft.

摘要: A method and system for operating a cascaded organic Rankine cycle (ORC) system (100) utilizes two waste heat sources from a positive-displacement engine (106), resulting in increased efficiency of the engine (106) and the cascaded ORC system (100). A high temperature waste heat source from the positive-displacement engine (106) is used in a first ORC system (102) to vaporize a first working fluid (118). A low temperature waste heat source from the positive-displacement engine (106) is used in a second ORC system (104) to heat a second working fluid (130) to a temperature less than the vaporization temperature. The second working fluid (130) is then vaporized using heat from the first working fluid (118). In an exemplary embodiment, the positive-displacement engine (106) is a reciprocating engine. The high temperature waste heat source may be exhaust gas and the low temperature waste heat source may be jacket cooling water.

摘要: An aggressor access node in a heterogeneous network sends to a victim access node a pattern of transmit power for designated low-interference subframes (e.g., LP-ABSs). Utilizing feedback information collected from the victim node which quantizes interference seen by user equipments (UEs) which are allocated at least some of those subframes, the aggressor node selects whether and how much to adjust transmit power for subsequent such subframes, then sends to the victim node a pattern of the adjusted transmit power for those subsequent subframes (e.g., an enhancement to relative narrowband transmit power RNTP). The victim node sends to UEs the pattern of transmit power and respective resource allocations in those designated low-interference subframes; then derives interference level per UE in those subframes based on channel quality indications received from the respective UEs; and sends to the aggressor access node feedback information which quantizes the derived interference levels.
