Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices related to digital wireless communication, and more specifically, to techniques related to controlling activation of a BWP upon transitioning between dormancy behavior and non-dormancy behavior. In one exemplary aspect, a method for wireless communication includes transitioning, by a terminal, a serving node from dormancy behavior to non-dormancy behavior. The method also includes activating, by the terminal, a set of resource blocks in response to transitioning the serving node from the dormancy behavior to the non-dormancy behavior. In another exemplary aspect, a method for wireless communication includes detecting, by a terminal, that a dormancy timer has expired. The method also includes, responsive to detecting that the dormancy timer has expired, transitioning, by the terminal, a serving node from non-dormancy behavior to dormancy behavior.

Abstract: Wireless communications when there is a master node (MN) and a secondary node (SN) may be modified to coordinate communication for measurement gaps. Specifically, for dual connectivity in multi-radio (MR-DC), the MN and SN may communicate to improve measurement gap usage. The communications may include gap combination assistance information, a gap configuration based on the gap combination assistance information, and gap association. The embodiments include communication examples for handling the measurement gap with communications between MN and SN.

Abstract: This disclosure is directed to UE measurements and measurement report of serving cells, and configuration for the cell measurement and report to effectuate a fast serving-cell change during UE mobility within lower network layers, such as layer-1 or layer-2 of the wireless communication protocol stack. This disclosure is further directed to signaling procedures associated with the fast serving-cell change for the UE as triggered by the network based on the cell measurement and report, and various lower layer configurations and operations for effectuating an actual fast serving-cell change at and for the UE.

Abstract: In wireless communication, a device may change, add, or handover between cells of network access for inter-cell mobility. This may include Layer 1 and/or Layer 2 (L1/L2) signaling for a user equipment (UE) moving between cells in a network. The signaling can reduce the mobility interruption time and improve robustness of a handover. The movement may be triggered by the network or the UE. A Layer 1 and/or Layer 3 (L1/L3) measurement is used for the inter-cell mobility. The mobility may be coordinated based on interactions between a centralized unit (CU) and a distributed unit (DU). The procedures can reduce interruption time and improve reliability.
