摘要: An inventive method, system and apparatus are provided for syringe handling, and more particularly, for syringe labeling, filling and capping operations. To facilitate syringe handling, an inventive apparatus includes a plurality of syringe bodies interconnected in a predetermined orientation by a belt. Such belt may be of pliable construction and may define a predetermined spacing in between adjacent ones of the syringe bodies, such predetermined spacing corresponding with a distance between holders provided in a handling apparatus. The syringe handling apparatus may provide for the placement of contents-related information on belt segments between adjacent syringe bodies and for separating the belt segments, wherein a flap is left interconnected to each syringe body. The syringe handling apparatus may alternatively or also provide for automated filling of the syringe bodies wherein cap removal, filling and cap replacement operations are completed free from manual handling.

摘要: An anti-tampering apparatus and method for drug delivery devices provides for the capture of caps in a manner that restricts repositioning of a captured cap onto a corresponding drug delivery device. The anti-tampering apparatus includes one or more retention members to define a capture region for restrainably capturing a cap. The anti-tampering apparatus further locates an obstruction surface thereof to engage a surface of a drug delivery device and thereby restrict recapping of the device by the captured cap. As such, tampering of a drug delivery device is indicated by the absence of a cap captured within the anti-tampering apparatus.

摘要: A system for use with one or more sources of patient-affiliated data corresponding with a group of patients. The system may contain a plurality of patient interface devices for interfacing with the group of patients. Each patient interface device may store a database that includes information related to each patient of the group of patients. Each patient interface device may be operable to generate a patient-specific guidance data set that may be used by the patient interface device to interface with a patient of the group of patients. The plurality of patient interface devices may be communicatively coupled to patient-affiliated data and a therapy database via a patient interface device gateway. The patient-specific guidance data sets may be automatically updated.

摘要: An enteral dispenser and associated method of use is provided for enterally dispensing liquid medications. The enteral dispenser includes a barrel having a number of dosing gradations arranged upon its outer surface. The barrel receives a liquid medication that has been selected from a predefined group of liquid medications having a range of colors. A plunger is moveably disposed within the barrel, and a piston is coupled to a distal end of the plunger. The piston has a peripheral portion for selective alignment with respect to a desired one of the dosing gradations and is a color that is optically differentiable from each of the colors represented within the range of colors of the predefined group of liquid medications, such that an user may differentiate between the color of the a peripheral portion of the piston and the color of any selected liquid medication.

摘要: An improved sterile docking apparatus for a medical-liquid, male connectors includes a holding member having an opening for matably receiving a nozzle end of a medical-liquid, male connector therethrough, and a deformable member disposed across the opening, wherein the deformable member is deformable to envelop and thereby isolate a nozzle end of a medical-liquid, male connector that is inserted into the opening of the holding member. The deformable member may be resilient, wherein it substantially returns to an initial configuration after removal of a nozzle end of a medical-liquid, male connector from the opening of the holding member. An interconnection surface may be provided on the holding member of the docking apparatus to interface with a complimentary interconnection surface of a medical-liquid, male connector so as to maintain the nozzle end of the medical-liquid, male connector in an enveloped position during docking.
