摘要: In certain embodiments, a vial adaptor for removing liquid contents from a vial comprises a piercing member and a bag. The bag can be contained within the piercing member such that the bag is introduced to the vial when the vial adaptor is coupled with the vial. In some embodiments, the bag expands within the vial as liquid is removed from the vial via the adaptor, thereby regulating pressure within the vial. In other embodiments, a vial comprises a bag for regulating pressure within the vial as liquid is removed therefrom. In some embodiments, a vial adaptor is coupled with the vial in order to remove the liquid. In some embodiments, as the liquid is removed from the vial via the adaptor, the bag expands within the vial, and in other embodiments, the bag contracts within the vial.

摘要: A fluid transfer device for use in medical/pharmacological applications a method of use, and a closed medicine transfer system. The fluid transfer device includes a first adapter unit having a first sealing element and a second adapter unit having a second sealing element. The first adapter unit and second adapter unit, when connected, provide a fluid connection between the first adapter unit and the second adapter unit and prevent, when disconnected, the transfer of fluid out of the first adapter unit and the second adapter unit. A fluid connection between the first adapter unit and second adapter unit is established by a combined pressing movement towards one another and a rotational movement with respect to one another, only after a constant pressure has been set which the first sealing element and the second sealing element apply against each other.

摘要: The mixing system includes an adaptor, an integrated injection device removably attached to the adaptor comprising a switching element, a first reservoir containing a fluidic first material, and a trigger. The adaptor includes a first attachment location configured to attach a vial. The vial contains a second material within a second reservoir, wherein the second material contains a medicament formulation. The adaptor also includes a first connection element, a flow channel providing fluid communication of the switching element and the first connection element, a sensing arrangement for detecting a pre-defined position of the vial at the first attachment location, and an interlock element which is configured to allow operation of the trigger in order to establish a fluid communication between the first connection element and the first reservoir only if the sensing arrangement detects the pre-defined position of the vial at the first attachment location.

摘要: A method for filling a reservoir a filling assembly having a needle, and a fluid. The reservoir is in a disposable housing assembly with a septum fluidly connected to the reservoir, a septum access assembly having a first position covering the septum and a second position providing access to the septum, and a bias mechanism for biasing the septum access assembly to the first position. The method includes piercing the septum with the needle, inserting fluid to the reservoir through the needle, contacting the filling assembly to the septum access assembly, and removing the needle from the septum. Removing the needle from the septum allows the bias mechanism to move the septum access assembly from the second position to the first position. The disposable housing assembly is attached to a reusable housing assembly.

The apparatus includes an airlock component having a cylindrical body with a first end, a second end, and a hollow tube disposed between the first end and the second end. An annular opening is located at the first end of the cylindrical body. The hollow tube includes a gas inlet aperture and a gas outlet aperture. The hollow tube also includes an inwardly-facing airtight material coupled to the interior surface of the hollow tube, and a septum coupled to the second end of the cylindrical body. The method includes transferring fluid from one container to a second container using the apparatus. The article of manufacture includes the apparatus, a syringe, and a needle.

摘要: The present invention relates to a medical device connector for connecting a piercing device, with a vial comprising a base member. A plurality of grip members, each grip member comprising a distal end (D) and a proximal end (P) and each comprising a wedge portion adapted to temporarily or permanently lock the medical device connector to the vial. The base member further comprises a plurality of flanges, wherein the proximal ends (P) of the grip members are arranged to the flanges. The flanges extend substantially out from the periphery of the base member in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of the grip members, wherein the space formed between the flanges of the base member forms at least one grip portion. The present invention provides for a medical device connector which is easy and comfortable to use, which provide good stacking capabilities and which permits a user to readily acknowledge that the medical device connector is correctly assembled with the vial.

摘要: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to transferring fluidic media from a vial to a reservoir. In various embodiments, fluidic media may be transferred from the vial to the reservoir by moving a housing portion to move a plunger head located in the reservoir to draw fluidic media from the vial to the reservoir. In other embodiments, fluidic media may be transferred from the vial to the reservoir while the reservoir is held by a holding unit and vibrated by a vibrator to remove air from the fluidic media. In some embodiments, fluidic media may be transferred from the vial to the reservoir by moving a handle operatively connected to a bias member for assisting with the transfer of fluidic media. In other embodiments, the transfer of fluidic media may be assisted by a bias member and a needle connecting atmosphere and the vial.

摘要: Some embodiments disclosed herein provide flow path inserts that can redirect flow paths in syringes with axially aligned tips to an outer edge of the syringe. When connected in line with other components, air can become trapped in the system. The syringes can be positioned generally horizontally and air bubbles can be disposed within the body of the syringe. The air bubbles rise to the top or uppermost portion of the syringe. The flow path inserts can facilitate the transfer of the air bubbles disposed within the syringe out the flow path defined by the flow path insert. Some embodiments disclosed herein provide a spinning luer connector for connecting components of a fluidics system.
