Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for producing a consistent and effective herbal vapor. A sealed container pod may include a chamber wall defining an internal volume within which a pre-processed herbal composition (e.g., cannabis) is located. The container pod may include filters for the vapor produced from the herbal composition. The container pod may also include a support member for holding and evenly distributing the herbal composition within the internal volume during vaporization. A vaporizer may be configured to obtain information regarding the contents of the herbal composition. The vaporizer may expose the herbal composition to an automated series of timed temperature adjustments specifically tailored for producing a desirable herbal vapor. The herbal vapor may be collected into a bag and/or canister for subsequent consumption.

Abstract: A medication infusion device comprises a memory means at a medication reservoir storing data identifying medication in the reservoir, a memory reading means at an infusion pump unit reads data from said memory means, and control means controls an infusion, based on data read by said memory reading means, to start the infusion when the medication is correct. A fluid connection detection means detects fluid connection of the medication reservoir to the infusion pump unit and transmits to control means whether the medication reservoir is connected. The control means controls an infusion in accordance with the transmission from the fluid connection detection means so that when there is no connection between the medication reservoir and infusion pump unit, the infusion pump unit will not be started or, if already started, stopped.

Abstract: An allergen-loadable microneedle cartridge is disclosed. The cartridge includes at least one substrate, a plurality of microneedles in a microneedle layout protruding from at least one substrate, and fillable allergen sites corresponding to the microneedle layout. The fillable allergen sites and microneedle layout are configured such that the microneedles can penetrate subject skin and deliver pharmacologically active doses of allergens in a minimally invasive process. A planar allergen filling system for loading the allergen-loadable microneedle cartridges is also disclosed. The system has a loading section with spaced-apart allergen loading sites that correspond to the microneedle layout of the microneedle cartridge. Filling wells having allergen deposition areas larger than the allergen loading sites transfer deposited allergen to the allergen loading sites through capillary channels. The allergen-loadable microneedle cartridge is loaded by contacting its fillable allergen sites with the loading section of the planar allergen filling device.

Abstract: A cassette for use with an injector has a housing, and a cassette identification arrangement (cassette ID) defining a code containing information about the cassette that is detectable and decipherable by an injector. The cassette may further have a sleeve movably disposed within the housing, for holding a drug container, and a locking arrangement for interlocking the sleeve with the housing. The cassette may further have an aperture in the housing, and a cassette cap for removing a needle shield of the drug container. The cassette may have an anti-bending structure to prevent bending or flexing of the cassette cap. The injector may have a processor for controlling operational parameters of the injector and a detector communicatively coupled with the processor for detecting and communicating the cassette ID to the microprocessor to decipher the code defined therein. Also, a method of injecting a drug into a patient with an injector, wherein the sequence of actions performed by the user are controlled. Still further, a method of treating a patient in need thereof wherein a cassette containing a drug is provided and administered to the patient using an injector.

Abstract: A system configured to synchronize the displays of multiple infusion pumps is provided. In some embodiments, the system includes a plurality of infusion pumps in communication with a server. An individual infusion pump synchronizes its internal clock by communicating with the server. Based on the synchronized internal clock, the infusion pump determines the current time, calculates a parameter based on the current time, and causes screen content corresponding to the calculated parameter to be displayed.

Abstract: A ventilator system includes a ventilation device, and is configured to operate in a passive mode configured to transmit ventilation data in response to requests from a ventilation management system, or an active mode configured to automatically transmit ventilation data as the data becomes available. The system receives ventilation system data associated with operation of the ventilation device, modifies one or more operating parameters of the ventilation device based on the received ventilation system data, receives ventilator data associated with the ventilator device, determines an alarm associated with the ventilator device or a patient based on the received ventilator data and, responsive to determining the alarm, sends the alarm to a beginning of a transmission queue for transmitting the ventilation data to the ventilation management system, wherein the alarm is communicated over the network prior to other ventilation data in the transmission queue.
