    摘要: A scroll compressor having a first compressor body with a first base, a first rib that projects from the first base, and a discharge port. A second compressor body has a second base and a second rib projecting from the second base. The first and second ribs are mutually received in each other to define at least one compression chamber between an intake and discharge port. The relative movement between the first and second compressor bodies is adapted to compress fluid from the intake to the discharge port. The scroll compressor further includes a tip seal projecting axially from the second rib. The tip seal is adapted to engage the first base to seal the compression chamber. The discharge port includes an inward-facing radius, which enables the length of the tip seal in the vicinity of the discharge port to be greater than it would be without the inward-facing radius.

    摘要: A scroll compressor includes a movable scroll compressor body and a fixed scroll compressor body that are arranged for relative orbital movement relative to one another to facilitate compression of refrigerant. To guide the orbital movement, a Oldham key coupling is provided that may include four keys spaced in separate quadrants for guiding movement of the scroll compressor body along a linear translational path along a lateral axis. Additionally, running clearances may be unequally and non-symmetrically arranged so as to prevent unwanted rotation of one of the scroll compressor bodies and thereby prevent unwanted edge loading.

    摘要: A scroll compressor includes an oil separation region generally formed between the motor housing and upper bearing member. A long labyrinth channel is provided with the suction refrigerant gas flow path being redirected to facilitate coalescing of oil mist droplets out of the gas stream. An integral deflector plate can be provided on the upper bearing member to interrupt flow and facilitate coalescing of oil. Additionally, offset arrangements between motor housing outlet ports and through ports through the bearing member are provided to facilitate redirection of the refrigerant flow that can further achieve oil separation.
