Abstract:
A method of terminating a call is used by a voice over IP terminal (3A, 3B) registered with an IP network core (2) and comprises a step of detecting the terminal (3A, 3B) hanging up during the call, a step of sending a device of the IP network core (2) a message to release the resources allocated to the call, and after the detection step, a step of waiting a predetermined time before sending the resource-release message. The resource-release message is sent at the end of the waiting step if the terminal (3A, 3B) being picked up is not detected during the predetermined time.
Abstract:
A device (D) dedicated to control of bandwidth used by a work station (3-j) that can be connected to a network allowing the user to access a service that doesn't require feedback, this network being a frequency division duplexing network which accommodates at least one frequency bundle branch block of the first type, dedicated to transmission of data bundles, and a second type district from the first type. This device has i) the capacity to analyze at least signalling information received from the work station on the first type block, and ii) a switchover feature which is activated if the analysis device detects signalling information signalling the availability of a service on a second type frequency block range, to receive second type data stream on the second type frequency block.
Abstract:
A system, a device, and a method for transmitting a signal (11) comprising a preamble and a data frame (13) by preamble sampling in a communications network including a plurality of nodes (1a, 1b), said preamble including a numbered sequence of microframes (19).
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for requesting configuration of a terminal connected to a subscriber card that contains at least one application. The terminal is adapted to receive via a second communications interface a response to a request including configuration information of the terminal, to act for at least one application of the subscriber card to determine whether an interface application associated with the at least one application is or is not present in the terminal. The terminal is adapted to send via a first telecommunications interface at least one command for downloading the interface application, if the interface application not present. A configuration method and apparatus are also provided for sending configuration information in response to a request, to receive at least one download command and to transmit it to a remote server, and to update the configuration information, after downloading the interface application specified in the command.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a periodic broadcasting of data packets in an ad hoc network formed by a plurality of mobile nodes that can move along traffic lanes forming junctions and can be located. A data packet is broadcast by a broadcaster node elected from a set of candidate nodes at each junction. The broadcaster node is elected in a decentralized manner at each candidate node by comparing the estimated travel time to reach the center of the junction with a particular reference time period between two successive broadcasts.
Abstract:
The invention relates to cryptographic method for the anonymous authentication and the identification of a user entity (Ui) respectively by a checking entity (D) and an identifying entity (O). According to this method, the checking entity (D) receives (130) from the user entity (U1) at least one first signature (σ) and a first message (m), and checks (140) the first signature (σ) using the first message (m) in order to authenticate the user (U), and the identifying entity (O) receives (150) from the checking entity (D) a second signature (σ′) connected to the first signature (σ) and identifies (160) the user using the second signature and a secret key particular thereto. The invention also relates to a cryptographic system for implementing said method.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for controlling use of content protected with a digital rights management license which contains conditions for the use. When a request to use the content is received by a client agent controlling the use of the content, the conditions of use are checked. Within this check, a determination is made that the use of the content is conditional upon an obligation to perform a parental control operation on the content. A request for authorization to use the content is then transmitted from the controlling client agent to a parental control management module. After a parental control operation has been performed on the content by the parental control management module, the agent receives a result of the parental control operation. If the result is negative, a denial of use of the content is notified in response to the request to use the content.
Abstract:
A system for managing at least one service access authentication data item, including a device for accessing at least one service. The system also includes a mobile terminal including a mechanism managing the authentication data item and an identifier of the service, a communication interface between the access device and the management mechanism, and a software interface configured to determine the service identifier and to utilize the management mechanism, via the communication interface, on access to the service. The system for example is applicable to website access authentication services.
Abstract:
A method is provided for the restitution of multimedia data transmitted by a gateway to a communications terminal via a first transmission channel. The method includes the following steps: interrogating the terminal via the gateway about its capabilities of restituting the multimedia data; transmitting, to the gateway via the terminal, a list of commands that it is capable of executing; transmitting, via the gateway, multimedia data with the aid of at least one series of commands that is part of the list of commands that can be executed by the terminal, and restituting, in this terminal, the multimedia data with the aid of the received command.
Abstract:
A method of bitrate switching on decoding an audio signal coded by a audio coding system, said decoding comprising a post-processing step depending on the bitrate. On switching from an initial bitrate to a final bitrate, said method includes a transition step of continuous change from a signal at the initial bitrate to a signal at the final bitrate, one or both of said signals being post-processed. Application to transmission of VoIP speech and/or audio signals in data packet networks.
