摘要: The present invention is a converged communication device that extends the landline voice service beyond the confines of the home to smartphones and other smart devices. The converged communication device includes a handset, a tablet, a VoIP softphone and a docking station. The docking station, which connects to PSTN and is wirelessly connected to the handset and tablet, communicates with the tablet that has the VoIP softphone installed such that the capability of making and receiving calls via the landline is extended beyond the confines of the home to the tablet or any other registered smart device.

摘要: In some cases, an IPTV client may send multiple IGMP Report/Join requests to an IPTV gateway, primarily due to a system or software failure. This may flood the IPTV client device with unwanted streaming data. A method and an apparatus for managing Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) multicast groups of IPTV service are suggested. The method comprises receiving a request from an IPTV client device for joining a new IGMP multicast group of IPTV service; and adjusting IGMP multicast groups of the IPTV client device according to a preset rule as a function of the number of the IGMP multicast groups which are joined by the IPTV client device over a preset value. According to the disclosure, only a preset number of IGMP groups are allowed for an IPTV client device, which can reduce the risk of streaming data flooding the system.

摘要: A method and arrangement for remotely controlling the communication of media between devices in different local networks (200, 202) using a remote control device (200b). The remote control device obtains discovery information on a first device (200c) and sends a remote access request over a multimedia service network to a home multimedia gateway (202b) in the opposite local network (202) for a connection to a second device (202c) therein. The home multimedia gateway then responds with communication parameters established for the second device in a residential gateway, and the remote control device can then order the first device to execute a multimedia session with the second device by using said communication parameters. This solution enables a remote control device visiting a local network to order a device in that network to fetch media content from a device in another home network, or vice versa.

摘要: A method of delivering data associated with a machine to an off board system is provided. The method includes capturing data by an on board system of the machine from at least one of a sensing unit, a control unit and an indication unit of the machine. The method further includes defining a data packet includes a payload and a data identifier. The payload includes the captured data. The method further includes determining one or more transfer parameters associated with the machine by the on board system and streaming the data packet based on the one or more transfer parameters by the on board system. The method further includes transferring the data packet from the on board system to a gateway and delivering the data to the off board system by the gateway.

摘要: An apparatus and a system are provided to proxy one or more media signals between at least one local client device and at least one remote client device. For instance, the apparatus can include a first network interface, a rate controller and media transcoder, and a second network interface. The first network interface receives a plurality of media signals over a first communication network, where the plurality of media signals is encoded into at least one codec format. The rate controller and media transcoder transcodes one or more of the plurality of media signals into a different codec format based on channel and processing capabilities associated with one or more local client devices and one or more control messages. The second network interface transmits the one or more of the transcoded plurality of media signals to a respective plurality of remote client devices over a second communication network.

摘要: A method for DTCP to HLS conversion is provided that starts with a standard DTCP Protected Content Packet (PCP) structure. The PCP payload data is chunked at defined chunk boundaries. Each chunk is then appended with a pad to be compatible with HLS. An HLS playlist is then provided using the PCP header with identification of the chunks and a keytag. The chunk is encrypted with a DTCP key calculated by the DTCP standard using: (a) copy control bits; (b) a nonce, and (c) an exchange key ID. Relevant PCP header fields are provided in the keytag for the HLS playlist, including the value of the copy control bits, the nonce and the exchange key ID, supporting the transaction that enables calculation of the DTCP content key to enable later decryption of the chunks.

摘要: A process to enable trick play operations is provided for HLS streaming video that has been converted by a system from DTCP. The system server provides a modified SEEK operation when an HLS GET message is received from an HLS client player. For the process, a DLNA header is provided from the HLS client player by including it in the HLS GET message. The HLS client also provides a DLNA RANGE REQUEST that requests a range of chunks making up a video desired and a seek point from where a seek operation is needed. The HLS server recognizes the DLNA header of the HLS GET message and DLNA RANGE REQUEST and obtains a range of chunks making up an extent of the recorded video using metadata fields. The server then generates a new HLS playlist with identification of the chunks and keytag corresponding to the seek operation. The server will provide chunks from the seek point and a rolling playlist to identify chunks and keytag from the seek point.
