Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for point cloud compression. An exemplary method includes: receiving point cloud data; quantizing the point cloud data to remove noise to produce quantized point cloud data; generating, using the quantized point cloud data, a plurality of multi-level tiles; performing reordering within the multi-level tiles to optimize a compression rate producing a plurality of reordered multi-level tiles; bit packing the reordered multi-level tiles minimizing bits required to store per tile header data producing a bit packed multi-level tile data; and performing additional compression on the bit-packed multi-level tile data using a first compression algorithm.

Abstract: An apparatus includes an output circuit configured to level-shift an incoming signal and generate an output signal having a voltage range different than a voltage range of the incoming signal. The output circuit includes an output driver configured to receive the incoming signal and generate the output signal at a specified voltage level. The output circuit also includes a switched source follower coupled to the output driver. The switched source follower is configured to receive the incoming signal and set the specified voltage level. The switched source follower may include first and second transistors, and the output driver may include a third transistor. The first and third transistors may be configured to be driven by the incoming signal. The second transistor may be configured to be driven by a gate voltage, and the specified voltage level for the output driver may be based on the gate voltage.

The support assembly suspends the article in alignment with the magnetic catch. The magnetic catch retains the article against the Hopkinson bar assembly. The pneumatic gun assembly includes a striker for propagating a shock through the Hopkinson bar assembly into the article.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a photodetector configured to generate an electrical current based on received illumination. The apparatus also includes a capacitor transimpedance amplifier (CTIA) unit cell configured to generate an integration voltage based on the electrical current. The CTIA unit cell includes (i) an amplifier configured to receive the electrical current and a first reference voltage, (ii) a feedback capacitor coupled in parallel across the amplifier, and (iii) a reset switch coupled in parallel across the feedback capacitor. The apparatus further includes a comparator configured to compare an input voltage of the amplifier and a second reference voltage, where generation of the integration voltage is modifiable based on the comparison.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for producing a mask for cloud detection. An exemplary method includes: receiving a multi-band image; collecting a first set of band images and a second set of band images separated by a time lag; forming a first pseudo-pan image and a second pseudo-pan image from the first set of band images and the second set of band images; computing a pixel value difference between each of the corresponding pixels in the first pseudo-pan image and the second pseudo-pan image; extracting from the corresponding pixels a set of candidate cloud pixels; determine whether the candidate cloud pixels have sufficient pixels to define a cloud; in response to determining the candidate cloud pixels have sufficient pixels, performing a morphological clean-up of the candidate cloud pixels to produce a cleaned image of the cloud; and producing, using the cleaned image of the cloud, a cloud mask.

Abstract: A frangible detent pin comprising a base a pin head and an elastic member. The base is configured to be secured within a bore. The pin head and the base are interconnected through a frangible connection. The elastic member is configured to bias the pin head away from the base. The frangible detent pin has a rigid stage in which the pin head is rigidly positioned relative to the base and a spring-loaded stage in which the pin head is moveable relative to the base under a compression load between pin head and the base. The frangible detent pin is configured to transition from the rigid stage to the spring-loaded stage in response to the compression load exceeding a predetermined threshold sufficient to cause the frangible connection to fail.
