Abstract:
The system comprising an application CSO gateway coupled to an application layer that configures and monitors a plurality of Data Center Elements storing computing resources; a network CSO gateway coupled to a network layer that configures and monitors a plurality of Network Elements and to receive requests from said ACG to configure connections, wherein the system further includes a Client entity coupled in an already deployed Network Element or in a Data Center Element configured to monitor a segment of the network where said Client entity is found; an IT-Aware Network Controller coupled to said network layer configured to run operations in and from the network regarding information of said monitored network information and of said Data Center Elements; and interfaces coupling the different elements of the system allowing the interconnection and communication between them. The method of the invention is intended to be implemented by the system of the invention.
Abstract:
A method and a system for managing user's reputation information for a given service. The method includes managing said user's reputation information by means of a global and centralized reputation management unit for a plurality of given services, said managing including generating and storing said reputation information for a user based on context variables and the historic of the activity or experience of said user in specific service fields in which the user generates content or provides an opinion or a recommendation. The system is arranged for implementing the method.
Abstract:
Method for Context-Aware Collaborative Filtering comprising: a) performing collaborative filtering introducing a user-item-context interaction as a definition of the data and modelling them using tensor factorization (TF); b) generating one or more recommendations using said modelling; and c) displaying the recommendations to a user. said tensor used for tensor Factorization (TF) represent indirect indications of a user's preferences for an item, meaning implicit feedback data.
Abstract:
It comprises using buckets as logical containers for content files, and associating meta-data to said buckets, wherein said associating of meta-data comprises the association of two kinds of meta-data: file system meta-data and content distribution meta-data. The latter includes attributes or properties for specific use in a CDN system, and the method comprises using said content distribution meta-data for managing the content delivery in a CDN service.
Abstract:
Method for a cheating-proof user experience based loyalty program and a computer program product for assigning loyalty points to users. The method assigning loyalty points to users complying with a target behavior when using a device, the method performing the following steps: logging a first set of user self-reported behavior data relating to the use of said device; logging a second set of automatically recorded user behavior data and assigning a trustfulness index to said data recorded; and when said trustfulness index is lower than a predetermined value, generating a first comparison value comparing said self-reported behavior to predefined target behavior data of said device , and assigning loyalty points to the user according to said first comparison value; and when is equal or higher, generating a second comparison value comparing said second set of automatically recorded user behavior data to said predefined target behavior data for assigning loyalty points to the user; and generating a third comparison value related to comparing said first set of user self-reported behavior data and said second set of automatically recorded user behavior data, for assigning extra loyalty points to said user.
Abstract:
The method comprises using a routing protocol to perform the information exchange between network devices. Said information exchange comprises signalling those network resources which are free or unused and, a single network device, configuring said network resources that are other than network routes. In a preferred embodiment, said routing protocol is the Border Gateway Protocol and the method of the invention further provides a new type of Network Reachability Information in order to perform said configuration and signalling of the network resources by means of said routing protocol.
Abstract:
A method, computer programs and a use for automatic identification and classification of land uses. The method including a computing mechanism running in a computer device receiving as inputs, a geographical region R, a plurality of base stations giving coverage to the geographical region R and a call records generated by individuals using the base stations, and performing automatically the identification and classification of land uses by making use of information extracted during a given time period from the call records. The programs include code adapted to perform the approximation of each coverage region when the program is run on a computer, and to perform a comparison when the program is run on a computer.
Abstract:
A method for the construction of commuting matrices using call detail records, computer programs and a use for providing user's mobility information, including computing mechanism for constructing a commuting matrix according to phone call records of a user. The method includes: a) providing a user's origin time range; b) providing a user's destination time range or second user's origin time range; c) constructing the commuting matrix based on call detail records using the user's origin time range and the user's destination time range; d) comparing the commuting matrix with a predetermined ground truth matrix and obtaining a comparison result; and e) optimizing the origin time range and/or destination time range based on the comparison result.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system which can be used for exchanging short multimedia messages between two or more users. The system is used, without distinction, for client-server implementations (31, 32, 33) or for server-free client-client implementations (41, 42). The system has the following essential technical features: (i) the session is established (311, 411) when a first client presses a user button and is ended (313, 413) when said first user releases said button; (ii) at the start of the session (311, 411) a list of all the participants is transmitted; (iii) at the start of the session (311, 411) a global session identifier is transmitted; (iv) the clients receiving a PTT message sent by the aforementioned first client optionally reply after receiving said list and identifier.
Abstract:
It comprises defining the residential location of one or more users according to his mobile phone activity during a time pattern comprising at least one specific period of time. It also comprises carrying out said residential localization by automatically carrying out the next steps: a) determining said time pattern, or residential calling pattern, from mobile phone-call data (such as that included in CDRs) of a plurality of users whose residential locations are known a priori, such as users with a contract, and b) applying said determined residential calling pattern to mobile phone-call data (such as that included in CDR) of one or more users whose residential location is unknown, such as anonymized users or pre-paid customers, in order to determine their residential location as that at which at least one call has been made with their mobile phone within said specific period included in said residential calling pattern.
