摘要： An anti-ligative bed linen system includes one-piece bedding having a top blanket attached to the base of a bottom cover to fit on a mattress. The bed linen includes quilted material that resists tearing or vandalism. The features of being one-piece, quilted, and tear resistant creates a bed linen that is difficult to contrive a hanging device from. Rolling up the quilted material makes a thicker lanyard as compared to a sheet or thin blanket that hospitals typically use. The thicker the lanyard the less lethal it is. Built into the structure are features that allow another bed linen set to be installed over an existing set so the user can use multiple blankets if desired. Another feature includes an alarm system that warns when the bed linen has been removed from the mattress. A washable foldable quilted pillow provides safe comfort and avoids the dangers of using pillowcases.

The coversheet (1810) includes one or more pockets. A portion (1801) of the blanket (1800) opposite the foot skirt flap (1804) is tucked into a pocket (1811) at the head end of the coversheet (1810). The mock duvet bed-covering system (1900) resembles a traditional comforter and duvet, but is more durable and can be changed in far less time than traditional comforters, making the system well suited for use in hotels, inns, and the like.

Specifically, the bed sheet of the present invention is a fitted flat sheet having a cutout portions at both of its bottom corners that permit, with the aid of separable fasteners located at the cutout portions, to convert the sheet from a planar configuration to a configuration comprising two pockets adapted to retain the sheet on the mattress. The top sheets of the present invention do not require elastic strips around the corners of the sheets to secure the sheet to the mattress.
