Abstract:
The device assists the customer in cleaning residue from their skin and body hair after they use a toilet for elimination, after they receive a cut or abrasion, or from other source. With the device, the person physically transforms toilet paper and other tissue-like paper in real time to have greater texture, density, and wetness, all three of which together facilitate cleaning better than dry paper or than wet paper without such increased density and texture. Being pocket sized and intended for repeated use, the device can be easily carried by or on the person and used in any bathroom or location anywhere without modification to the plumbing facilities, without risk of running out of a supply of pre-moistened wipes, and without damaging the environment or sewage and septic systems.
Abstract:
Rolls of an embosser laminator unit may be calibrated with an iterative process of moving axial ends of the roll a set incremental distance until contact between the rolls is made and then making a correction to the distance based upon the end of the roll making contact. The rolls may be move an initial position where the faces of the rolls are devoid of contact with each other. One or both of the rolls may be rotated. The distance between the ends of the rolls may be decreased until the faces of the rolls make contact with each other. The distance between the first ends of the rolls may be increased by an incremental amount, and a determination of contact between the faces of the rolls may be made by alternate movement of the rolls by the incremental amount and position prior to contact.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a paper sheet with improved softness and the paper sheet are provided. A method of manufacturing a paper sheet 101 according to the present invention includes a supply step of supplying a continuous base sheet 1, 1A, or 1B, and a plurality of times of pressing steps of applying, to a surface of the base sheet 1, 1A, or 1B, pressing force having a normal-direction component of the surface.
Abstract:
An apparatus for the application of atomized fluid to a permeable web material is disclosed. The apparatus has a fluid source and a receipt plenum. The fluid source is disposed in proximate fluid contact with the first surface of the web material. The fluid source has a positively pressured permeable roll having atomized fluid and at least one aperture disposed therein. The apertures provide fluid communication between an inner portion of the roll and a surface thereof. The fluid is disposable from the inner portion to the surface through the apertures into contacting engagement with the permeable web material. The receipt plenum has an opening disposed adjacent to the second surface of the web material that provides a source of negative pressure to the second surface of the web material that causes the fluid to traverse through the web.
