    摘要: The invention concerns a method for marking an object with mineral powders, characterised in that in consists in depositing on the substrate a coat consisting of mineral powders, producing a marking on the substrate coated surface using a laser beam, said laser beam providing the energy required for sintering the coat irradiated particles, and for generating a diffusion between the sintered particles and the substrate; and removing the non-irradiated coating part using cleaning means. The invention also concerns the associated device, characterised in that it comprises a table (32) whereon is arranged the substrate (10), a laser (16), depositing means (20). cleaning means (18), and control means (26) for controlling the laser beam shot (16).

    摘要: In a method of producing marking or the like on a surface by means of laser radiation, at least two layers of lacquer of different colors are successively applied to the surface and at least the outer layer which is towards the viewer of the surface is removed by laser radiation in a region-wise manner to expose the second layer therebeneath, thereby producing the marking on the surface. At least the outer layer is applied by a transfer operation from a carrier material, in order thereby to produce a uniform thickness for that layer and thus a highly uniform laser-engraving effect. Also described is the use of embossing foils and more especially hot embossing foils of a particular configuration in such a method.

Heat treatment is utilized to create surface marks (4) on the workpiece (1) from the vaporization and burning of the organic paint into the inorganic paint.

    摘要: An apparatus to simulate a woodgrain finish on composite wooden sheet material. The apparatus comprises a plurality of burner heads coupled to a gas supply and each having a row of transversely disposed nozzles. The burner heads are mounted on transversely disposed rods longitudinally reciprocated in their mountings. Reciprocation of the rods is by a cam associated with each rod, the cams being of different profiles and/or timing relative to one another. With ignition of the nozzles corresponding carbonization scorch lines are formed on the surface of the sheet as the sheet is passed through the apparatus. The reciprocal action of the burner support rods imparts a substantially wavy motion to the lines, a random wave pattern resulting from the varying profiles and timing of the cams. The scorching results in minimal charring and the surface is finish sanded to remove raised smut.
