    摘要: A field-assembly dowel basket for concrete construction configured for in-the-field assembly from standardized components. This allows a number of standard components, including clips, connectors and wire frame components, to be conveniently transported and stored on construction sites to facilitate on-site assembly of dowel baskets on an as-needed, where-needed basis. Since the dowel basket components are much smaller than assembled baskets, they can be shipped and stored much more cost effectively. Standardization of components allows mass production, consolidates inventory management, and avoids the need for ad hoc fabrication for each construction site. On-site fabrication largely eliminates welding from the dowel basket fabrication process (wire frame clips may involve welding), avoids shipping of fabricated dowel baskets, and allows assembly of dowel basket by construction workers as opposed to highly skilled welding shops.

    摘要: A slip dowel tube and elongate dowel are disclosed herein which allow for transverse and longitudinal movement of two adjacent concrete slabs and also limit vertical movement of the two concrete slabs. The slip dowel tube is housed within a sheath that provides a void to allow for transverse movement of the slip dowel tube when the first and second slabs move transversely with respect to each other. The elongate dowel is slidably disposed within the main tube to allow for longitudinal movement or movement which brings the two slabs closer to or further away from each other. This system also limits vertical movement between the two adjacent slabs.

    摘要: An asphalt paving seam gasket comprises a footing sheet, a seam wall and a ramp extension. Once the footing sheet is anchored to the substrate, the seam wall provides a supporting buttress for the compaction of an initial lane of paving, while the ramp extension provides a sloped access for vehicles to mount the initial lane during the interval before the adjoining lane of paving is applied. Optionally, an adhesive resin is applied to the contact surfaces of the gasket to strengthen their bonding to the asphalt material and prevent moisture penetration between the gasket and the asphalt material.

The article optionally comprises a reinforcing fiber.The hardness of the article can be closely matched to that of the surrounding structure. The article can be ground with a diamond tool to form a smooth transition with the surrounding structure.The article is particularly suitable for incorporation into an exposed surface of the structure.
